Great updates and history!

An 84 TXDPS SSP showed up on FB, and the owner posted photos of its Build Sheet -
http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info184611.htm It does not appear as though this one will be restored to stock, but it is great having the Build Sheet with clear detail of the upper corner - http://www.specialservicemustang.net...184611doc9.jpg The DSO number for this car is 57-0131. Perhaps I never realized it, but the first 2 digits of the DSO have their own meaning. The first digit is the REGION (geographically), and the second digit is the DISTRICT within the REGION. The last four digits are the Special Order Number, which we knew. I was unaware of the differentiation on the first two digits. |
Another great document.

Here is Jim's blue 1984 Oregon SSP, with newly added pics to the car's page -

1984 Georgia Dept of Revenue SSPs
There is a 2-car batch of VINs on the 1984 page where the first one was confirmed as being purchased by the State or Georgia Department of Revenue, but the ordering agency for the second SSP was unknown despite the DSO number only being one digit off. The first SSP is...
http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info227282.htm ...which again was confirmed as a State of Georgia Dept of Revenue SSP. The owner of the second SSP provided a photo of the asset tag in the glove box, and this car is also a Georgia Dept of Revenue SSP - http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info227283.htm The asset tags are sequential as well. Pretty cool! |
That’s a really nice SSP! Thanks for sharing!

The owner of a 1988 Massachusetts State Police SSP sent me better photos for our VIN Project, which I was able to use to make corrections on the car's page -
http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info276394.htm Also of interest was a 1992 Mississippi State Police SSP that BobbyE found on FB Marketplace for $3K. Buck Tags confirm that it is legit (1of10 units in 1992, with a total of 20 units being ordered by the agency) - http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info149716.htm |
