Bobby, I updated the page for that 1991 GSP -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info176509.htm

Here is an example of a new page we were able to add using the FHP auction paperwork supplied by 8034/Kevin, and then subsequently sorted by Mick:

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info158182.htm

THANKS!

28HopUp 01-29-2014 11:38 AM

Here's an example of an existing page in the Project...

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info131171.htm

...which was supplemented with the new auction information. Previously, the page had various photos from the car itself, along with the odometer statement supplied by Jim Young. Notice that the ending numbers on the radiator support (T3-1192) are the same as the Lot number (192) when the car was auctioned. Coincidence, or was that number written on the radiator support at the time of auction?

From what I have seen, I would say that the yellow numbers were from the selling dealers PDI or the when the Patrol outfit the car. Thinking it's probably PDI.

FoxChassis just gave me a heads up about this 1985 Idaho SSP posted on Craigslist, which had clear photos of the Buck Tags -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info213220.htm

That's the first Idaho SSP from 1985 to pop up in our Project.

And other than the pimptastic interior treatment, it appears to be a very good buy for someone looking for a solid 85 SSP! ;)

FoxChassis 02-04-2014 07:34 PM

Seller may be watching the comments? The pimptastic interior pics have been removed from the ad.

Haha, imagine that! :D Potential buyers will be very surprised!

Always good to see the car in person, have someone you trust view it, or I suppose worst case at least have a seller with a well known track record that can be relied upon.

This is on eBay now and is from a 91 GSP

FoxChassis 02-14-2014 11:12 AM

Bobby I didn't see that car on ebay in current or completed auctions. Do you have a link?

I don't think he means the car is for sale, just the manual/warranty card stuff....?? But I could be wrong, won't be the first time lol.

Correct ,
Guy's just selling warranty card and owners manual for 59.99 plus 7.00 shipping...
67.00 bucks for a card/manual to a car that may or may not exist... :-)

Hopefully this will work...

FoxChassis 02-14-2014 02:58 PM

Ah...just the warranty card for sale. Thought it was the whole car. LOL

Here's an updated page on an 86 Utah SSP, which now includes a Marti Report -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info208351.htm

I will be working over the weekend on a few other pages. Thanks everyone for contributing to the effort! :)

Bobby, are we at the point where you can supply me with GSP documentation on this VIN (MF176527) for the Project?

Not yet Bill,
I'm still working on that... Hopefully soon.

kapracing 02-14-2014 10:20 PM

GSP records are still available by request of owners though. As I've promised Jimmy until the time comes when we can publish complete documents :-)

'90 LX on eBay. VIN falls in a range of 106 with no others identified. Can see the certified speedo in one of the pics. I requested additional pictures.

Only had a picture of one tag. The seller on eBay is selling it for a friend. He can't remember if it was originally from FL or SC.

FoxChassis 02-19-2014 10:51 AM

The first two in that group of 106 went to to SC (LF159217-LF159218), the next four went to NC (LF159219-LF159222), and most of the last 100 have prior "POLICE" use titles in FL (LF159223-LF159322).

Looks like DSO 24-0067.

That would be 24-Jacksonville, Florida

28HopUp 02-19-2014 12:18 PM

If we order a Marti Report for a VIN near the beginning of the likely grouping of FHP Mustangs in that batch (like LF159223), and the DSO matches this car, then we can use the Florida DMV site to confirm those cars in between which have police branded titles, like we did with this 1989 FHP:

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info225676.htm

I already have the screencaps, Mick (52 cars total, LF159223 - LF159300). Although the public records provided by the Florida DMV site do not confirm the SSP option or DSO number, when we find cars in-between confirmed SSPs with a police branded title as listed on the DMV site, it is like having a photocopy of the owner's title that shows the police branded title. It's just a small piece of the "SSP puzzle" for that car.

FoxChassis 02-19-2014 01:34 PM

I ran the last 100 through the FL site and 70 of them came back with a FL title.

This one appears to be an FBI car. DSO/group number is an exact match to a confirmed FBI in the same batch with this cars VIN.

Thanks Brad! Here is the new page -

I stopped short of calling it an FBI car, despite the match to a confirmed FBI car with the same DSO number. But it is a Government SSP.

Yeah, that's why I said it appears to be. Like you I didn't want to officially confirm it as such.
