I was thinking same thing...that it was too bad they leave them outside. Given the condition of the still State Patrol owned 92 Michigan SSP at show a few weeks ago it looked like was stored outside too, but I don't know that for sure. If that's the case, would be a shame as well.

George, When we took our 85 up and showed it at KSP's 60th, we spoke to the State Police Comissioner, He had no idea that they even had the other car (542). He asked If we wanted to buy it. We told him yes we would take it as is. Would make a nice father/son pair.

Ahh...when you said "we" and "us" it was a little confusing (unless you became a trooper and didn't tell us).

Who is the Tpr and is he/she a member here?

with it being a state owned vehicle I imagine it would have to be offered to the general public in an auction, with no preferential treatment given to any one party.

We are quite aware that if sold it would be offered only through public auction, and the comissioner knows that as well.

Do you have a name? Does he/she own a KY SSP?

Maybe Mark Cool, but he is retired. The guy that owns the 90 car is a trooper still also. Him and I had a long talk a while back about the 90 that is out of service. I need to call him up and check on the status I guess. Or just drive over there.....

The only flaw I saw with the show car is that for some reason it is missing the left exhaust pipe, I noticed that a few weeks back when it was at the London Post
