I think Bernie should be substituted with Marcos as I read the thread backwards...not sure how that change happened from Jim's original refrence to Marcos.

To clear things up on the clutch. When I took the trany out, the clutch pressure plate was in as new condition as one could get. NoDrama did not drive the car much. What was wrong was the shaft sleeve was split and the clutch fork was worn as well as the bearing. I took pictures of what I had fixed on the car.

The car is still a great looking car and I enjoyed it much. NoDrama (Jim Y.) did a close to perfect restoration of the car and it is worth every penny it deserved or sells for.

I am against flipping the car for 5K in such a short time but then again, it is no longer my car and if someone buys it for 21k than more power to the seller. I two hope it stays with the SSP community.

Yes

This is a very nice car, I didn’t get to talk with Jim much at the Ohio MCA show last year but I took tons of pictures of his car. I’m not going to get into the flipping discussion but one things the higher price will deter certain people from is buying the car just to hack it up. At least it will probably end up in the hands of an enthusiast.

Assuming it sells which I doubt. At this price I would look for an original with low miles. Offers around his price are not going to happen unless Jay Leno is a member here.

Best of luck to the seller. High tides raise all boats!

see what happens when you work a 14 hour day and deal with two suicides and a child custody situation from hell? I meant to say Marcos not Bernie. I get those two characters mixed up sometimes in my old age. I have sold cars to them both and at least they are from the same state.....

yes this is the mousepad car however I have never heard it referenced as that...... Leave it to Andrew to remind me of THAT !! :D
