unbelievable! they sure proved to be durable. i have a weakness for all black coupes especially black 10 holes rims. dark blue coupes also like mine which is on process of being restored.

I agree on your points!! The USPS retired at 154k , I figured the would only keep them till 90-100k?? but I guess the durable part kept them around for a while.:yes:

That's why i had Caprice LT1 9C1 and several 5.0's for a long time and am restoring my ssp to keep for a long time.:2thumbs:

154,000 miles! Incredible that they'd keep it that long. I have no problem with that much milage on my vehicles, but never thought the govenment would go that long.

That would be Kernersville, wouldn't it? Wow, I may have seen that car in service and not even known it. My buddy from high school used to live there. He's now on the other side of Greensboro. I used to visit him every six months or so back then. That's when I got those photos of the NCSHP SSP partially upfitted (w/porno red interior - LOL), the retired gray SSP and the Greensboro PD SSP.

What a beauty!!

I think you're right about it being Kernersville....just adjacent to Greensboro. I had an employee for a number of years who lived there and worked for me in our Greensboro location. I like the SSP above too! Black with red interior is a great combo, in my opinion. :thumbsup:

By the way, it would be great if a Greensboro PD SSP turned up and could then be returned to in-service specs.
