I do agree about the tag and that car is a bit of a project too. Is $2500 the minimum? I can see that you are looking at quite the project with that car that's for sure.

Axle... drive shaft... rebuild a non-numbers matching engine... hmmm... figure paint... assembly... details that might be missing... $15,000 for this resto from my last few restorations... maybe we should look at a different project.:yes:

thankfully with Kevin Marti releasing the Marti Reports on the four eyed cars, the missing buc is not as crucial as it used to be. we all want them to be as complete as possible but many of the four eyed SSP cars only had one buck tag. (both my oregon cars for instance). More critical to me is the original door tag but even now that can be replaced correctly with the information from kevin marti.

I think 2500.00 is high, but the interior alone is worth a grand. that red stuff is impossible to find and 100.00 a yard to buy, then you have to pay the guy to do the upholstery work.
