John, for the benefit of everyone it is really easy to save and post pictures from CL. Knowing that the picture links will eventually disappear, I position the picture on my monitor and hit the "Prnt Scrn" button in the upper right corner of my keyboard. Then I open MS Paint, and paste the contents into a new page. Then I crop it down and save it to a CL folder as a .jpg file. At that point, I can attach the picture using the paperclip icon next to the smilies when replying to a thread. That way the pictures last forever.

Bill and everybody, there is an easier way to post a complete C-L ad. Go to the ad you want to post. Click "Ctrl-a and then Ctrl-c then go to your post and hit Ctrl-v and paste it. All of the ad will come out with pictures all.

To get links, pictures, etc. to show up in your post your Message Editor Interface setting in your User Control Panel has to be set to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" (WYSIWYG = what you see is what you get, pronounced "whizzy wig").

I personally don't like that setting. I like the standard editor.

Ctrl + A = Select All
Ctrl + C = Copy
Ctrl + V = Paste
Ctrl + X = Cut
Ctrl + Z = Undo

Bill: You know where to go get them when you're ready.

Thanks for sharing! :D

Bernie, thanks for sharing that shortcut. That will definitely save some steps for text. One thing to keep in mind is that method uses the original picture link to post the photo(s) where you paste it. Once CL kills the links, the pictures will no longer show up. That's why I try to grab/save screenshots, which last forever.

That's true if you "copy the image location" if you copy and paste an image or text it's there permanently. If you notice the c/l add is deleted but the pics I posted are still there.
