Normally, I do not enjoy seeing SSPs modded, but since you have all the original parts to put it back stock and haven't seriously ruined the car, I like it;) My dad would probably want me to not do it, but I think it would be cool to have an SSP or just a standard coupe(mad to look like SSP though) with fully modified suspension and a hopped up motor for autocross like you do with your car :D |

So, here are the pics you asked about for the VIN project. To clarify, car was picked up at auction late 1998, but not by me...I bought it a couple of months later from the guy who bought it to flip it. Unfortunately I was not smart/organized enough to keep track of the paperwork in the car from the auction or the info I got from the state police maintence garage at the time. As I remember, they said it was western AZ car...which would make sense since special order number is LA. Based on all the stone chips behind the wheels (yes, original paint) the car saw a lot of dirt roads.
I may spend some time looking for the build sheet that I have read about on this web site - It it worth ordering build info from Ford like I see some people doing? Thanks |
