I concur to keep this alive! I wish there are something that we can click "like" to each replies.

Someone recently joined our FB group and commented that the forum was outdated in terms of information. The information is solid, but it may not be as convenient as asking a question on a social media site. I also tire of the people posting content/videos to get Likes, without being good caretakers of their car's history.

Social media is good for turning up new cars that had been previously undiscovered. For instance, BobbyE found a 1992 SSP posted on FB Marketplace that turns out to be 1of20 (total for 1991 and 1992) Mississippi State Police SSP Mustangs. I wish there was an easy way to post Marketplace listings here for people who do not use FB.

Out dated content here? There’s plenty of recent content and if the FB folks would just come here every once in a while to post what they so desire to post in the SSP FB group(s), it would definitley generate traffic here.

This is THE only SSP site left as a forum specific to just SSP’s, a searchable, historical and wealth of knowledge forum that is - something that no one can get on any FB page or FB Group…. FB isn’t searchable to do “look backs” on older content, where this forum and its format benefits many of us in that very manner.

Put this site link in your FB sig lines if that exists so others can click and come in to join the party and conversations… LOL!

So since I’ve owned my DPS unit, without any FB help and me digging, from when it was in-service to after it was auctioned, I have the entire timeline and ownership history documented and can account for every owner up to me.

Through other sources and again without FB, I’ve also found out of the (200) TX units ordered in 1993, mine was from an original DSO batch order of 26, but only 24 were built; so it’s 1 of the 24 for that DSO. Pretty cool and who knows where the other 23 are today… LOL

While I get that FB and other social media is more geared towards “quick” blurbs and image “likes”, what I just posted isn’t THERE…. It’s here. :)

I am glad you were able to learn so much info on your SSP.
