Primed and blocked the car for a second time, blacked out the area infont of the quarter windows, drilled the lightbar and antenna harness holes. Now it's time to tape off for paint

Did you notice the Different Lightbar in the Picture?

Yes, I have been in contact with a trooper down there and he was stating that most cars had the JetSonic, like the lineup picture. This car is also pictured in the gallery photo's. From what I was told one car had a whelen strobe bar, one had a code3 bar and the rest had jetsonics. I will be putting a jetsonic on my car but it's cool to see they ran multiple bars.

Been a while since I posted pics, Still need to install the equipment and interior but the car is up and running!

Painted the unit number on the core support and cowl, ordered my reflective tape, equiped the trunk with the docucam vault, full size spare, and the carpet. All she needs is decals and I'm ready for the 45th!

Awesome job and absolutely beautiful results. I saw this car at Barber and it is definitely droolworthy (along with the other member cars).

Thanks for the complements, I have put a lot of work into the car and I am very happy with how it turned out. The 45th was a blast!

Just found this thread. I live in Alabama and love this car. I use to see this car run at Huntsville Dragway back in the day. Proud to see it restored to its former glory.

Have not been on the forum in a while, thank you for the compliment! Yeah that was most likely this car. The previous owner bought it off the state in 1995, he only put about 25K on it between 1995 and 2008, and had been sitting since 2005. I know it was his "race car" for many years. Luckily it was a relatively easy car to save. I still have some equipment I have been searching for but it's 98% how it would have been in 1988.
