shotgun rack is all done with some help from a friend's welder to attach the notepad holder.

I took my 87 CHP to it's first car show.

Looks great! It has to feel good getting out to a show with it.

This was my first time entering a car in a show. The show was open to all makes and there were about 80 cars. The 87 did better than expected it won a participants choice award and surprised me when it won best in show Ford. :)

Fuel pump replacement. Since I had the tank out I replaced all the rubber gaskets and the cracked plastic piece around the gas tank filler neck. The good news was that there wasn't any rust in the tank.

A familiar scene...a few years back I had to drop my tank after failing the sniffer portion of the smog test. Fumes were detected at the rear of the car, cause was a rotted gasket atop the tank.

Somebody liked to spin tires in the sandy shoulders.
