Thanks. It is a group effort. As an example, here is a new page just added using photos submitted by Jonathon of a 1991 SCHP -

Awesome:2thumbs: If all 83 DSO Owners could only be so lucky...

28HopUp 01-07-2015 12:06 AM

I know! Most GSA cars are a big mystery due to the lack of documentation.

FoxChassis 01-07-2015 08:41 AM

Awesome. And a new previously unknown group! It's great to have those owner cards that were actually filled out! Love the color. I am surprised that it did not have power locks and power windows. I had assumed all of the GSA cars had almost every option available. Buck tags and Marti reports have show that in the past. Afterall, it's only taxpayer money. :D

MOstang 01-07-2015 10:30 AM

That's cool and unique.

SWEEEET !!!

I wonder if they've had it since the UHP ?

MOstang 01-07-2015 08:04 PM

Rear seat cover is dead giveaway as having been a UHP vehicle.

Dear Marcel,

Thanks for your inquiry. The unit FHP#245 is and has been assigned to Troop H, which consist of 8 Florida counties including “Leon County” which is the county that Tallahassee, Florida’s capital is located in. Currently, FHP 245 is a 2012 Dodge Charger.

28HopUp 01-21-2015 02:32 PM

Thanks for posting up that message from the FHP. Cool!

Here is a 1993 SSP from the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office that we are able to add:

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info157088.htm

It appears to be in a batch of 2 consecutive VINs. The owner contacted me on FB and asked to have his SSP added to our Project. ;)

MOstang 01-21-2015 06:21 PM

:2thumbs:

FoxChassis 01-21-2015 11:41 PM

Bill: PF157088 a single P40E. One before is P44E (LX 5.0L convertible) and one after is P42E (GT).

28HopUp 01-21-2015 11:50 PM

Thanks Mick. I will fix the list of 1993 VINs tomorrow.

New batch of 91 Nebraska cars found

A guy on FB sent me the Marti Report for his 1991 Nebraska SSP, which I used to create the following page -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info161998.htm

The car IS a Nebraska SSP, but he has not sent me anything to confirm its agency usage (yet!). It is worth noting that we had not confirmed any SSPs in this batch of 26 consecutive VINs 'til now.

28HopUp 01-26-2015 07:15 PM

A true 1990 Drug Enforcement Agency car this time

Here's another one from a gentleman on Facebook -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info191630.htm

The paperwork he sent me confirms it as a DEA SSP. Here's a question for the collective - Would all of the VINs in this DSO number been ordered for the DEA?

28HopUp 02-06-2015 11:51 AM

DSO 27

Gentlemen, please look at the following car in our VIN Project -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info147059.htm

The DSO number is "27 0409". DSO 27 is not listed in our data, so where is DSO 27??? Does anyone know the story on this Winter Park, Florida car?

FoxChassis 02-06-2015 01:35 PM

I have seen a Marti report from a 1993 LX and it says that DSO 27 is "Washington district sales office".

For the 1991 and earlier model years I have a bunch of door tags with 17 and none with 27.
For the 1992 model year I have one door tag with 17 and a few later tags with 27.
For the 1993 and later model year I have no door tags with 17 and a bunch with 27.

I believe the Washington DSO code switched from 17 to 27 sometime after the 1992 model year started. The "17" tag in 1992 has a 08/91 date and the "27" tags all have dates of 01/92 or later.

28HopUp 02-06-2015 03:14 PM

Thank you, Mick! I appreciate your input. 'Learned something new... :)

FoxChassis 02-06-2015 04:10 PM

PF147051 through PF147058 all originally shipped to FL in early March 1993

I do not have any confirmation of the SSP option (or any known history) for this car, but PF147033 (from the same batch of VINs) has a DSO of "21 0352"

28HopUp 02-08-2015 08:52 PM

CL seller uses VIN Project page is his sales ad:

http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/4882739293.html

:)

MOstang 02-09-2015 11:50 AM

Must be on here and read your post, since the author deleted their listing already. ;)

28HopUp 02-09-2015 02:44 PM

Either that or the car sold immediately because it had been confirmed in our Project!!! :p

EDIT: For future reference, as I recall it was a 1987 TxDPS, gray in color, with a 5.8L engine.

SPiRiT R/T 02-09-2015 07:20 PM

FWIW I remember Winter Parks 5.0. We always knew better than to speed thru that city.

The page has been updated, but folks may need to hit refresh to bring up the revised page. :)

kapracing 02-16-2015 04:18 PM

Bill,
This is one I already sent you the Door sticker to a while back. I picked it up over the weekend ( for what I don't know? :headscratch:). But here are the buck tags I removed before putting it into storage... It is an "alleged" FBI SSP... I asked how that was known and was only told that's what the previous owner had told him. Soooo, there's proof if I ever heard it ;) LOL...
7N paint code though "I do love the color"...

Still a unknown GSA as far as I'm concerned...

28HopUp 02-17-2015 01:22 PM

Bobby, here is the page with the buck tag photo added for this 1988 GSA car -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info266147.htm

Hopefully, you may be able to learn a little history on this one's usage. ;)

Bill,
Here is the door sticker from a car a guy is looking to buy on FB. At the end of a group of NCHP SSP's but has a different DSO # ...

28HopUp 02-20-2015 01:17 PM

Thanks Bobby. Let me know if he sends you a photo of the Buck Tags. I have a photo of LF163503 in a pending folder marked NC, but it is unconfirmed. With this one having a DSO that starts with 24, I suspect it is not a NCSHP car.

FoxChassis 02-20-2015 02:11 PM

DSO 24 = Jacksonville (FL)

I checked the last 17 in that group in AL (title), FL (title), and GA (Insurance). No records in AL or GA. Two have FL title records.

LF163505 has a title in FL (issued 03/2004) and the previous state title was IN.
LF163508 has a title in FL (issued 08/2010) and the previous state title was FL.

Neither FL title shows a "POLICE" branding. LF163505 shows a "REBUILT" branding.

Here's an 89 Nebraska car we were able to add:

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info227164.htm

This CL ad on this 93 Nebraska car was posted in the discussion about the unmarked 1988 SCHP car -

93 ford mustang lx 5.0 ho it is a old nebraska state trooper car, runs and drives great has lots of power. 5.0 ho police interceptor 5 speed manual body is a lil rough but very minimal rust was sitting in a barn when I got it does need some restoration but the car runs amazing and handles great with the police package suspension..
Also have a fiberglass cowl hood, and a set of aftermarket wheels with good tires I'd throw in for the right price
Asking $3000 o.b.o. may be open to trades for other car or partial trades firearms, etc
If interested contact 7122591484

Here is this car's new page inn our VIN Project -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info193017.htm

Previously, I've seen where sellers have taken screenshots of our VIN Project to confirm their car is a SSP, but I have never seen someone take a screenshot of a post I made on Facebook before -
