The other 85, still has it original front bumper

His EVOC car #5281 in action and when he got it. Today it is still all original, has had 4-5 engine replacements while it was inservice, CHP repainted it once, and it looks like it did in the photo of when my dad got it.

And my 84 GT Convertible before and during the restoration I am currently giving it. I'm going to paint it either Viper GTS blue with pearl white hood stripes, or '71 Trans Am Lucerne blue with pearl white stripes, either way it will be the only one like it in Oregon i'm figuring.

Here's the thread about our father/son project:

Our main parameter in selecting a car was that it had to have front airbags. We also wanted a 5-speed and I preferred a V6 to keep him outa trouble. It's been fun working on it together. :)

The pics of '85 8337 and my 84 are at my dads yard here in Grants Pass, the other 85 is in a yard in Redbluff, CA.

Yes, this is the yard that I remember from N. California:

RJ has many Diplomats and other CHP sedans over there.

My dad is friends with Bob Cox, so he let's my dad store stuff at his lot. My dad doesn't know any RJs down there, is he one of Bobs friends?

Can anyone guess why this car is very special:)

RJ is short for Robert J Cox. I know that's Bob's storage area and that's where I know the image from. Bob is selling many of those cars actually so I've actually gotten photos of that yard.

Any pics of the cars interiors? Maybe some of the 2 '85 CHP's? #8337 and the other one. Thanks. And welcome to the forum! :)

Ok, my dad may be trading a reno pd gran fury for some CHP cars from him, I'm not sure on the specifics of the deal though.
