Some of you here will likely recognize me from FEP. Been a lurker for awhile. Always had a liking for the SSP's. As I took several road trips in the late 80's I kept an eye out for SSP's as I traveled. Remember seeing SSP's in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, California, Idaho, Missouri, Colorado, and my home state of Kansas.

Doubt I will ever actually own one as I have dedicated my resources to my 1st love the Dominator Mustangs. But don't mind helping others out doing research and checking out cars in our area and also enjoying seeing the neat cars on the site being returned to their glory!

Steve

New from Fayetteville NC

Hey everyone not new to mustangs just new to the ssp part. I purchased my 1992 ssp unmarked auto mustang from a county auction here in Fayetteville NC about 8 years ago with the intentions of turning it into street strip car but has been in my backyard since. When i purchased the vehicle they gave me a book that has the complete service history of the car. Read some cool things like a report that 2 people travled by the vehicle on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed and one of them hit the vehicle with an object on the passenger side. Then listed everything it took to repair said damage. They told me it was a sherriffs I-95 chaser car. Pretty cool stuff. so know I am having strong secong thoughts about doing nothing but restoring her back to her original beauty. Nothing has been touched except radio and heater core (which was a pain in the ars to do). Car ha ssome surface rust issues on the roof and need some interior work and full paint job. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! We love seeing SSP pictures, so please some up when you get the chance. If you include photos of the VIN label (on driver's door), buck tags, and any documentation, we can add you SSP to our VIN Project (listed on the right side of the site's main page).

Hello, I am new to the site and new to the SSP world of cars. I have always had mustangs in the stable for years now as a hobby. Look forward to sharing my ride and learning new things about the SSP cars. I was looking for a nice coupe for awhile now, decided to make the jump for the SSP car in North Carolina that was previously on eBay. It was what I was looking for for a awhile, with the SSP history to boot.

Hi Willy, and WELCOME to our site! Your SSP shares an interesting history with this car (whose VIN is 1 digit from yours):

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info109124.htm

We can certainly add your car to our VIN Project, so if you're interested please post some pictures in our VIN thread and we will create a page for your SSP. :)

I will get more pictures and a Marti report also for the picture area, actually me and "twocarnuts" live within about an hour apart and attend some local shows together. We will get some side by side shots of the brother/sisiter cars for you guys.

Hello everyone I just wanted to take time and say hello and thanks for the forum.I am a fellow mustang enthusiast from MO in search of a Mo ssp,so I figured this would be a great place to start. Thanks again for letting me join in.

Here's a well known and well document 1990 MSHP SSP that is for sale. You can bring it back stateside from the UK http://www.sspmustang.org/forums/sho...ighlight=Peter . He has dropped his price on it a good bit, of course will have some costs to get it back to the States, but would be worth it for the right person.

sc-rcode 05-12-2014 09:46 PM

Thank you I will get in touch with the seller

Newbe from Ohio

My name is Alan and I'm new to SSPs, but well on the way to getting hooked. I've been looking for an 87 or 88 notch for a while now. A car came up on eBay and for the first time I saw the letters SSP. A little research and I really want one of these cars.
I'll be on the board learning and asking questions. I'll write about what I'm looking for in the cars/parts wanted area.
I'm in Cincinnati. There's a hot meal and a cold beer for any SSP folks.
Alan

NoDrama43 11-01-2015 09:53 AM

welcome to the site. I live out in Williamsburg and have been collecting these cars for just shy of 20 years. If I can help with anything let me know. If you are needing SSP specific parts they can be a pain to find at times but come up occasionally. Good luck with the search.

ImEvil1 11-01-2015 10:47 AM

Welcome to the site, Alan.

MileHighTrooper 03-01-2016 02:19 AM

Hello All,
I recently bought a 1990 Colorado Patrol Mustang and I figured I would join after seeing my car on the forums here before. This is the CSP Mustang that supposedly had a vinyl top. I haven't been able to find much info on this car besides what is on here but it is a great car and runs like a champ.

kapracing 03-01-2016 07:09 AM

Welcome! Cool car and post up pics :2thumbs: We love pics:D

NoDrama43 03-01-2016 09:19 AM
