Just curious - why did your dad purchase (or acquire) that vehicle and what is his intentions with it today? ~~~~ Also, the one photo in this thread of a decommissioned X-CHP, the one interior shot shows a center windshield mount light, located behind the rear view mirror. Was this a common piece of equipment, or only installed in certain Mustang SSP's? http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...mustangGR2.jpg |

The mirror lights were being put into cars in the early 90's. 91 may have been the first year of them in mustangs. |

These pics bring back memories... I remember working "security" at the state auction when I worked at the local SO in 1999 or 2000 just south of Starke, FL when they were auctioning off a bunch of state vehicles including FHP Mustangs. I wanted to buy one so bad but being a poor Deputy all I could do is watch the luck ones with money walk away with them. We had to watch these guys because they would "disable" the cars they wanted just so everyone would think they didn't run so they could get them for a good price. I just wish I had the money I do now back then.... |

I had a person, (not a member here), that actually bragged to me about him and a friend disconnecting AC harnesses, or fuel pump harnesses (under the drivers seat) so they could buy the cars cheaper. Zero integrity with these folks. |
