Fred & Stephanie,

Great having you there ! Glad you made it !

Can't tell you how much Mike helped me out the first 2 shows I was there. First show I was there to check it out, just purchased my mustang and hadn't done a thing with it.

I was all over Mike's SSP lol Measuring things, taking pictures etc.
Asking all kinds of questions LOLOL
Seeing his car in person after seeing it all over the web in various searches.
And it is just as beautiful and awesome in person as the photos are !

( thanks for all of your patience Mike by the way ) lol
Plus calling, emailing him.
I am sure he was thinking, this guy is a pain in my..... lol

But I made it up to him by getting him and his SSP to the CHP Academy and some hot laps around the EVOC track at Retiree's day Sept. 2012 !!

Second Ripon show I towed my SSP down for the show. I had just finished it. Only the red light worked. Now everything works. lol

I love it, LOTS of fun.
So we all help one another. Even on this SSP site, everyone is here to help and everyone here needs help now and then.

Looking forward to seeing your car completed Fred !
John

Good to see all the Great Postings and Photos shared here. This is one of the joys that makes this hobby FUN! The Ripon Show was a very fun event and a great day tomeet up with friends Mike C, John from Oregon, John, Gary, Matt, Robert R and meet new ones. We all got the pleasure to meet Fred and Stephanie who participated in their first Ripon Show.

FRIDAY:
I was expierencing some unexpected shifting issues on Friday Night Cruise night that caused some of the vehicles behind me to fall behind a separate from the rest of the convoy of Emergency Vehicles and one of those vehicles was Fred in his Mustang. I take full resposponsibilty for accidently taking some of vehicles approximatly (6 to 8 ) off the routed course by accidently taking a wrong turn from the route. Then all of a sudden "BAM", I am dead in the water the transmission is not wanting to shift in to first, second or even third gear. I could find reverse but catching up with everyone for the parade in reverse was an option and was not going be fun in the least. I think Fred kinda knew I was in trouble at the beginning and stayed posistioned behind my car like a true soldier. Now by this time frustration was quickly beginning to set in. All my failed attempts to get the car into any gear made me believe clutch failure. The four letterd words I had brewing in my brain along with some new ones I made up were about too surface when I looked in my side mirror and noticed Fred exited his car and when he walked up he asked me if there was something wrong. Once I told him what was going on with my vehicle he advised me to press the clutch pedal in for 9 to 10 seconds to reset the clutch. IT WORKED!!! I was able to find first, second, third and so on.
Thank You again Fred! Welcome to the Forum and to this fun and addictive Hobby.

SUNDAY:
Well after a 4 hour drive trailering the Mustang from Ripon back to Bakersfield we made it back home at home at 3 pm on Sunday Our day wasnt over and the weekend was far from complete even though we still had alot to do such as unloading everything from the truck, unstrapping the Mustang from the trailer and all that other business. I had an alternate plan on my agenda and that was to park the truck and trailer in front of the house and jump in a more speedier vehicle "The Wifes Camaro" and take a road trip to Gorman to see John T and his Wife where they spent their weekend at due to clutch and cable problems on the Mustang. Its always a pleasure to spend time with John and Mercy. Although John T and Mercy were unable to attend the event I took him a event Tee Shirt and some other goodies. We are planning for the next show April 2014 at Morro Bay.

Here are some photos for everyone to enjoy.
This first photo is of Steve O he was there! It was a pleasure to spend some time with him at the show.
