I've only owned one other four eyed SSP (the Ga DOR) and I don't recall this... Anyone seen this before?

For some reason the '83s had two evaporative emissions ("charcoal") canisters. My '83 GT also has two.

Well I've got good news for the 83. About five years ago I bought a 83 5.0 4spd coupe black with red interior. It had been sitting for years and was a one owner car with 88k miles. As some of you know I've never been much of a four eyed fan so I sold it to a buddy of mine ( the same one that got my TX DPS). Well he traded it off, they traded it to someone else. Long story short Robby just traded for it back. It's still untouched and just as it was when I bought it. I helped out on the paint job on the DPS so he decided that I should have the complete drive train from this 83 as it is period correct for the GSP. Even the single exhaust is in good condition! It's really good when things work out this perfectly :-) will post donor car pics soon...
