And Mick this one has the two canisters also...

It seems a shame to use this one as a donor car but its absolutely a perfect candidate... Plus Robby says he'll probably make a little street car out of the body latter on :-)

Awesome find...congrats....

Is that DSO only two digits, and is it 21? Can you make out the last four characters of the TR code (4____) on the door tag, and the last digit of the rotations number (025_) on the buck tag? Thanks for posting those tags. I have already added them to the database.

I'll be picking up car this weekend just went by and snapped a few pics. Not sure on DSO it is 21 but can't make out if its more. My first impression was the 21 seemed a bit further to the left than regular two digit DSO's. I'll check it out better once I pick it up. The people I bought it from bought it new and I think they ordered it the way they wanted so its possible it could be a 6 digit DSO?

Would have had to been built with non-production options or paint and or a "fleet" (bulk) order to have a six digit DSO. Since four eyed Mustangs mostly did not have options grouped together, they could be ordered any which way you liked. There were some instances where when one option was ordered another item that was normally optional was required or included. For example, when a T-roof was ordered tinted glass (side and rear) was required.

yeah, I wouldn't pull that black '83 apart just yet. Those '83 5.0 coupes are extremely rare in any form. You could still find an '83 GT, which would be super easy, to pull the driveline from.

Well I do understand and even agree to a certain degree. But this is not my car it's my good friend and he's donating the running gear and keeping the body. I'd be hard pressed to turn it down. I know the black 83's rare but not as rare as the GSP and its not like he's gonna scrap it or anything. He's putting it up for a future project. It's kind like taking two SSP's to make one. We wanna save them both but can't always do that.
