Here are a few pics of his car. There is a feature on org about it also. The last "marked" unit sold. http://www.sspmustang.org/features/T...%20Mustang.htm Jim has the last actual one sold, an unmarked unit. Yeah FHP still has unit 1993, but I doubt that will ever be sold. They should have kept a '83 too. That way they would have one from the beginning of an era and the end.

I have never run the vin number sequence on the 83 FHP cars. What's the chance mine was the first one down the line??? Would that mean I have the first FHP SSP ever????? That would make for a nice pair being an 83 and a 93.

That would be cool. Didn't Mike run some of the '83 vins awhile back?

Another '83 needs to surface.

I did the '83s a few years ago...have to dig out the list to see where yours falls, Jim, but IIRC it was middle of the road.

I remember 1222....looks like a nice car, but we'll have to talk about the equipment in it, Harley. :)

We did figure out a couple of days ago that the 83 FHP cars probably were originally equipped with a 5 inch spot instead of the six. We have several inservice pictures showing the small spotlights on them. I need to find one of them now.

Mike pointed out also that there was a 5" on a '85 too.

Looks like several pics of '83s, '84s, and '85 show the 5 inchers. I also saw an '83 with what looked like a 6 (Brian pointed that one out) so who knows. You'd probably be ok either way.

Image 18....is that a Mag light on your front seat or are you just happy to see me?! What is that, like a 10 D cell light??

Nice car too.
