Friday I left on a trip to Valdosta GA. I took an old friend to a new home in the sunny south. I know she went to a good home and will be treated right.

It is a 2003 Azure Blue Mach with 12k original one owner miles. Basically like a brand new car. It has some very tasteful performance/handling and appearance mods. It will split daily driving time with the 09 GT500. While it may not have the power the GT 500 has this car handles like it's on rails. The car still smells like a new one. Azure blue is an awesome color and the paint on the car is near perfect.
Marcos (Jarhed) and I started talking last week about CHP restorations and he commented about his Mach 1 being for sale. One thing led to another and next thing I knew I was in a Cracker Barrel in Valdosta, then headed home with the Mach in the trailer. It was an uneventful trip for me but Jarhed wasn't so lucky. He can fill everyone in........ Anyway...it was great meeting you Marcos and hope to see you and my old friend at a show someday. here is one more pic of the Mach. This car and the GT500 will be on my Fotki album in the near future |
Congrats to both you guys....I'm sure they were both hard to let go of.

Congrats! You both got beautiful cars, Enjoy.

Marcos for some reason I thought you said FHP... Congrats...
I hope you finally made it home after the fixes were made. Congrats you two! |
Jim, it was nice to meet you and I have to say that the 1992 CHP is one nice car. You were very meticulous with the restoration and it will fill the void of the Mach very well.
I got to say it was hard to let go of Dory (Mach 1). I enjoyed her much but I needed a change (Not Obama type) and when Jim brought up his '92 CHP in our equipment conversation I knew it would be just what I needed. As fate would have it, we were in acquiescence for the deal before it ever came up. The trip up was uneventful but boy on the way down it was a hurricane. Long story short, I blew two tires from the vehicle trailer within a 60 mile stretch. I found out the hard way that replacing tires on the highway is costly, $255.00 each. The friend I borrowed the trailer from did not have a spare. Oh well, you live and learn. So to you guys, rent a trailer or have one or two spares with you. The remainder of the trip I did not exceed 50mph so that the other two tire would not blow. My plans are still to do a complete resto of my 1985 CHP8302 as the cars and equipment are so different. Jim enjoy the Mach 1 as much as I am going to enjoy the CHP. |
mach swap
good looking cars and congradulations, I have a 92 chp mustang but no where near as nice as jims. I had an 04 DSG mach, missed my 89ssp so much i parted with it and got another fox body. now i have two.. i love the machs, super hi revers but man,,,, that premium gas..... $$$$$
