If anyone calls and can get the last 6 of the VIN, shoot me a PM. I may have some info on this car.

Got the VIN via email from a member. I was at the auction that this car sold at in 1999.

I thought, for a second, that this could be the black, unmarked 5 speed that sold that day. This was a marked car, however.

Lot #244, Unit #801. It sold for $5400. My notes list mileage at 78,519, and "repaint, left fender".

I feel that is one of the worst things a person could do to these cars. Everything else outside of tubbing and cages can be put back to appear stock. Without the holes, it's a guessing game and steals alot of character.
I have gone on a somewhat extensive hunt for the red dash out of my car but no luck.

Sorry, rant over.

it better be a real nice car to bring that kind of cash.

Evil, excellent info. Pretty cool that you went to all the auctions.......and kept the info for years down the road to help identify the cars. Depending on how nice the piant is on this car a person could paint the tan, decal the car and install equipment.

still alot of cash.

Hi Mike, I sent you an email last night about a car I purchased -- 1993 FHP #801. Note: Not the car in this thread. So, I believe the information you referenced is for my car which is still stock as it left service -- with the gatorbacks and all the documentation.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention in case someone was looking for this.

Greg
