Selling my 1985 Ford Mustang 5.0 Notchback SSP Roller.
This is an authentic Special Service Package Car. The tag is still on the core support.
The drivers floor will need to be patched in as there is a hole.
All exterior panels are there. Most of the interior had been already been removed. No motor or transmission, Original Rear End is still good.

Car has been sitting under my deck for 2 years, tarpped tightly so nothing has got inside. Selling this project because I lost interest. Would make a cheap drag car!

Title is clean! All the keys there and all the locks still work.

$500 or bo.

The seller sent me some photos of the VIN label and buck tags (FF206383), and then added them to his CL ad. It's an Oregon SSP.

Just posted some info on .org - I own #206362 which was Paul Henry's car and is an Oregon car - long way from home

Here is the new VIN Project page for this SSP -

I do not see anything in the VIN Project for your OSP (FF206362). Have you posted or submitted anything?

Nothing posted here but is on .ORG under PO name - went and took some tag and door label pics as I had none taken yet. Buck tags were on 2 different holes on core support which can be seen on core support in background. Need any other info let me know and I do my best to answer.

That's awesome! I have never seen another buck tag like that one? Is it the pic or is it smaller?

Ya its about 1/3 the normal width, maybe it was a weight saving program to go along with the "special Hi-Po cop motor" that came in the SSP's ?? LOL I've seen one other small one on a wrecked 85 Oregon car, in fact it was #206373 so maybe it was a batch deal. This car was hit hard in the RF and and floor pans were badly rusted. It's in the VIN project but found a picture that just shows the small tag still mounted. FYI - went back for the tags couple weeks later and they were gone, that was 5-6 years ago. Looks 20 times better in picture than it really was and cluster was already missing.

Pretty cool! Thanks for posting :2thumbs: It is a shame about that one...

I myself have seen the small DSO buck tag only in the 1985 model year, for OSP (FF206xxx VINs) and UHP.

Although tough to make out in this pic, here is the UHP (206xxx VINs): http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info206805.htm

Later in the year (FF234xxx VINs) OSP got 'normal' size DSO buck tag: http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info234942.htm

I have made a deal to buy 206383 DSO-74-0184 from the owner going to pick it up on 09/15/2014.

I have an 85 engine and transmission for the car. I will need tech help putting it back together.

What wheels should it have?

Thanks,

David

15x7 steel wheels, with argent caps.

EXNODRAMANOTCH 09-08-2014 01:51 PM

But preferably ones without holes drilled into the wheel lip for racing tires (man, that seller has had those wheels f/s for a loooooong time!)

I have seen those caps on Cougars at the local pick and pull.

Be careful of the hub depth. Escort caps looks identical, but too shallow. Not sure about the Cougar caps.
