Rear Quarter Wanted

OK, I started to disassemble the 86 UHP car and it definitley needs a left rear quarter ( shoddy repair job done in the mid 90s ). I'd rather replace it than start patching. Any leads on any rustfree or NOS panels?
Thanks
Gary

The NOS ones listed are for a conv, but the Taiwan ones are listed for both coupe and conv. So I 'am not sure if using a conv. panel would be a problem. MPS salvage should have plenty of used ones.

I 'am not sure what you mean. I didn't see any ssp being parted out.

It has a pic of an SSP coupe ( blue and white ) where they are selling the quarters. Maybe just a pic for reference. Go to the site and then to inventory list, hit rear quarters and take a peek.

I see now. They used to sell GSP cars, back in the day. The pic was probably for reference. But it could have been a wrecked GSP. If the car is repairable, they will sell it as is or repair it then sell it usually.

Here is the pic.....I think.

That's the pic I saw. I remember visiting the site before I could drive. They had 3 GSP'S for sell for around $3500 to $4000. I can't remember but I think the roll bars were still in them.

You may still find NOS ones out there.....5 years ago we got a pair of NOS hatch quarters for a Saleen we rebuilt for a customer and they were expensive but he found a pair within a couple weeks. These things are not high volume sales items so there should be some around.

I am looking for an NOS roof skin for an SVO and I KNOW they have to be out there but I haven't had any luck yet....I'll ask those I call about coupe quarters for you and see if I can scare any up...

I'm assuming the a vert quarter is the same as a coupe?

I think the top section of the quarter panel is different. The nos one I 'am not sure if there is any difference. I guess it would depend on your body man and how he would want to repair it. If you really wanted an nos one I would try to find one that list it as being for a coupe.

I have one taking up space in my storage that I'd sell you but have no idea on how to get something that size to you...

Coupe and convertible quarter panels are usually different....however, convertibles were made outside of Ford by Cars & Concepts by taking Coupes and cutting off the roofs.....so while in the past the quarters were stamped different they may not be in this case....I'd have to see an NOS example of the quarters to know for shore and I've never compared them. But you can use a convertible quarter if they are different even if cut differently than a coupe but you would have to seem it together somewhere other than the factory seam.

Thanks Paul, I'll keep looking for an NOS panel and if that fails I have a rustfree vert rear clip that my freind said I could have.
