A penny saved is a penny earned.

I was getting quotes from the truck lettering guys and decal n sign shops of 60 65
and hour with an estimate of about two hours to put on the decals.....i was gonna
have this one guy do it but he could not do it today and another guy never called me
back so I put um on myself DRY... they had to be correct the first time because it
was the only time and we did it without SAYING S*#!!> (bad words) no magic or
BS taking the car someplace and having to come back later ....me and my wife did it
in the garage (the decals)

It was on it's way to being a dedicated drag car.... (A TURD) and I had no Idea i would be
painting it back to Black n White and looking for radios and a shotgun rack!

Like icing on the cake! Good luck on getting the rest of the equipment squared away...enjoy some shows with it in the meanwhile.

Looks good Michael
Mine is gonna be a strips cut like the (PATROL) on your car I want to be able to
stick them all together and stow then in the trunk then when it's time to drive home
after the show I will just place the strips on one at a time to mask the car. makes it
easy to just keep it with the car and in the trunk ready to go I also have the black
rear light covers and covers for the spot's. I will also write a letter to the local LE
Agency's ( with pictures attached) explaining the car the hobby and directions to this
site (if interested)
they will have a look see. and realize that it's not just me that's nuts!

mac88chp 05-12-2007 02:50 PM

I made a simple cardboard holder that all the magnetic signs go into when they come off my car. I just put a large binder clip on the holder and store it in the trunk. At shows, the holder goes under the car as I display the trunk area too with all the radio and other equipment in there. :)

This is what I did....bought a 3x2 sheet of magnetic material from a truck sign shop
(it is in 24in.wide roll) so i just bought 3FT of material I cut the material into 4.5 x
36in sections (5) cut one in half to cover the star area below each door crease and
the other 4 ....two on each door above the door crease the remaining 3 ft long piece
i cut in half to cover the HIGHWAY PATROL it all rolls up and goes inside a
plastic coffee can that has enough room for the damp cloth in a zip lok baggie and a
dry cloth to wipe clean the pieces as they are taken off the car...clean and ready to
go on after the show they store inside a dust and dirt free air tight container. total
cost $15 dollars..............
I'm a regular friggin Martha Stewart i am:p

Looks good guys. I wondered how you managed to do the show and go thing with stickers on your "Interceptors".

I see you like the Dark Gourmet Blend of Folgers. I buy that also, but have switched to Maxwell House as the Folgers has doubled in price at our local stores. The MH price is unchanged. ;-)
