does this look normal?
i purchased what was listed as a NOS 87-93 SSP oil Cooler on ebay.

it does appear new, but

along the curved edge there appears to be light green corrosion and three small spots where it looks as if weld was applied then ground down??

opinions? i have never seen a used one up close to compare this one to.

Mike post the otherside of the Cooler you have.

Tom

Tom,

#2 and #3 are the 2 different sides.

Russ,

I think this was originally for an '84 SVO, but it's close. The PN on the box is e3, but the number on the body itself is an '84 one.

here is the other side of the one i just purchased.

the thing that bothers me the most with mine is what looks like previous weld repairing on the edge.

Good to know. I hope you get it resolved.

it does look welded, but that green burn is soo uniform that I dont think "Joe the welder" could have done it, it looks more like a factory job

I have 530 100% positive feedbacks and paypal has always come though for me, I did resort to calling my CC company once but it was because my time to file the claim expired for paypal but not for Visa. If the boner doesnt respond to paypal it just helps your case, they have a 1-800 number you can call

stubes 12-08-2008 08:18 AM

paypal is giving me a refund once i sent this POS back.......

According to the seller, this is a one off super rare prototype oil cooler straight from a ford engineer and they were fabricated this way.....and i must be a parts collector and not a car builder for being concerned.
biggest crock of crap i have heard in a while.

An engineer friend looked at it yesterday, said it was definitly brased.
My buddy said he could have taken it to work and tigged it so it would be good but when you pay over $100 for something thats suppossed to be MINT and NEW per the ad would you???
I just no one else falls for this if the idiot relists.
