1993 Winterpark Florida SSP, 72K miles!!!

7 Attachment(s)
I am considering selling my 1993 Mustang SSP from Winterpark Florida. Those of you that have been members here for some time are familiar with my restoration through the posts and my attention to every detail. I have spared NO expense and have well over $24K invested in this vehicle with all receipts.

What is unique about this vehicle is that it has low "in service" miles, has never seen any elements (e.g.snow/salt) and is an absolute perfect, turn key SSP that is "in the wrapper". Also, the truck lid was signed by Jack Rousche!!

If you are interested, please email me at beterginio@yahoo.com or call me direct at (860)919-8999. I am in no rush to sell and am looking for serious offers from buyer who can appreciate all the time and money invested. Thank you for looking and a special thanks to specialservicemustang.net!

Here is the master list of what was completed:

Best of luck with the sale. You really did an incredible job on the car.

ImEvil1 12-07-2008 07:37 PM

+1. I hope you are selling it because you have another project picked out and aren't leaving us.

They're dropping like flies!!! Good luck with the sale. BTW I can't see pics.

Thanks!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments! I don't plan on EVER leaving the forum regardless if I own an SSP or not... SORRY:)! Anyway, everytime I review the list of items I completed and look at the "finished" product pictures it is certainly with mixed emotion to say the least. This is why I am in no rush. If it happens it happens, if not I have a great car.

The reasoning for the possible sale: I am looking to purchase a 1987 Buick GNX with 7K original miles:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick...1%7C240%3A1318

I plan on also selling my 1987 Grand national with 862 original miles to make room, if you know of anyone whom is interested. I will list the GN soon on Autotrader and Ebay. The Grand National should "fetch" about $45,000.00 in a good market, thus I am figuring about $42,000.00 in this market.

Thats the "story" :)

Top shelf cars you have there. We drool in unison. I think you should hold long term, My 2cs, Best of luck regardless. Charlie

FlyinTiger 12-08-2008 10:12 AM

Good luck with selling both. It's tough to give up such perfect cars, but a 7K mile GNX is priceless. I know it has to be approaching a 6 digit car, now.

I bet the Winter Park Staff are eating thier heart out, Beatufully Done. I was at the Turkey Rod Run a couple weeks ago and at the auction in the track, a 30k mile 86 GN Buick went for 13k? and it was in mint shape. The Auctioneers were bitching about all the low prices and commenting who they were getting double a month or two ago. There are also alot of people suffering from Barett-Jacksonitis out there, Good Luck on the GNX, that is the one car I would sell my SSP for

ImEvil1 12-08-2008 12:15 PM

VERY nice, and glad to hear you'll be sticking around. Whoever buys your SSP will be very happy with it.

The 1986 Grand National's do not bring much money, the 1987 production year holds all the value. I would say a 1986 GN with 30K on the clock should go for $17K-$19K full retail. An astroroof (power sunroof) car are the rarest followed by the hardtop then T-Top cars. Thanks for you input!

The "others"

2 Attachment(s)
Here are the last two in the immediate collection. I am glad no one has "hung" me yet as they are also GM products, but I believe car lovers can appreciate their rarity.

#1) 1990 Camaro "1LE" ; 10K original miles ("1LE" Factory race option, needed an SCCA license to order. The last year of the "IROC" and only 64 1LE's were produced. Out of the 64 produced 28 are the 5.7 liter versus 5.0 liter, which is what I own. This is a one of one with CA emmisions. Known as the future "COPO" Camaro)

#2) 1989 Trans Am Pace Car; 2,900 original miles (Powered by Buick "Grand National" motor and "GNX" intercooler with the factory 1LE race package. A total of 1555 cars produced. First car that did not have to be mechanically modified in anyway to pace the Indy 500. This is a "festival car" complete with Indy 500 plate from Indiana motor vehicles)

I promise there will be no more chat on my car "madness" :)

FHP#1118 12-08-2008 10:15 PM

That Buick has Barret Jackson material written all over it! some GN guy would loads of money in that arena would probably pay 60K for it. Beautiful job on your SSP, too nice to drive! LOL!

jarhed123 12-08-2008 10:46 PM

All are beautiful cars. Can't believe they are getting old. I can remember all of them in the show rooms.

Winterpark SSP 12-09-2008 08:11 AM

I think my cars have aged much better than me! I can also remember these cars in the showroom :)

Barry you did one hell of a job on that car!!! Was that the car from David P, that was dressed as a Ford Brochure car? Wow, nicely done. Joe

Yes...it was originally Don Brink's car, and he turned it into the brochure clone before David P. bought it.

Winterpark SSP 12-10-2008 08:07 AM

All these nice comments...I am blushing :)

If I remember correctly it some type of hole cut in the firewall. Is that correct? Did you ever figure out what that was for? I looked at that car to buy years ago when Don had it, but David beat me to the punch. Joe

Firewall

4 Attachment(s)
Winterpark PD had a "GREAT" idea to solve the overheating problem during long idle times (e.g. roadwork) as they did not want to crack the hoods on their cars when the idled for prolonged periods.
Solution: Let's cut a hole in the fire wall, put in an electric fan and pull the hot air out of the engine bay. Great in concept, but not exactly a "professional" job.

I would have considered a lower temapture t-stat and heavy duty aluminum radiator to start. Regardless, Don did a nice job fixing the firewall. While it was in for the roof holes, moldings and bumper covers I had the firewall redone.

Enclosed are the pictures:
