Anyone see a pattern here? The unit number claimed by the seller matches what Sam Cox's GSP unit number was back on the old SSPony board when he was around and owned the '91. The license plates don't match, and the decals are different, though. Of course, the seller said he painted the car, so maybe that's why they are different. The equipment inside sure looks good. I think he needs to post up a ton more pictures, though. |
Does anyone know anything more about this car? If so please PM me, I have a friend that considered my car but would rather a marked unit. Thanks John...

John,
If it's the same car, it was originally restored by Sam Cox. You can reach him at the number listed in the article below. http://www.co.henry.ga.us/newsArticle.asp?AID=100# It's the most accurate GSP car I've ever seen. Jim Y. made improvements to the GSP he owned for a short time and came close to this one, but that car was painted the wrong colors by a prior owner and needed a bit more work. |
Mike, thank you...I love that car but I'm a big fan of blue. The price climbed very quickly but then again a rare car in that condition should be worth that and then some. I'm sure we're no where near finished yet. Thanks for the information, much appreciated. John

$13,000 and nearly 9 days left...

I think it's a 15K car all day long, but I'd need to see more pictures. I also find it funny that it's been bid up to 13K already and there isn't a reserve. |
I agree on the 15k price, given the market these days. Obviously the Ebay auction is a farce given the bids we are seeing the past 24 hours. Hopefully it will go to a good home and not be subjected to the dealer network where we will see it for sale every 5 months by a different dealer.
|
Seems to be hanging up at $14,500. Last time it hung up for a day or so someone with a feedback score of (1) got it going again. I always find it suspect when someone with that sort of score jumps into an auction like this. Probably just a matter of time before that person tries to push up the price again :No no: .
|
$16,600. Interesting bidding, but it looks like the car actually sold to a real person (for a change).
Glad it won't be IHOP'd around the hobby. |
good price for a great car. This one was meticulously restored with the help of the GSP. I talked with Sam about this car for a long time when he had it for sale a few years ago (during his divorce). He put alot of time and effort into getting it right.
I agree with you Evil on the auction. I also am glad it went to an enthusiast and not a flipster. Hope to see it at a show in the future. :2thumbs: |
91 gsp, home in georgia
picked 91 gsp up on saturday, we have always had a collection of mustangs, always wanted a gsp car, because i am from georgia. it is kind of funny, now i have 2 the 85chp and the 91gsp. the more i learn about these cars, the more i love them, they are like little toys!!! my husband says he is driving the gsp to shows and i can drive the 85chp.
|
Nice pick, fair price too. will be a good hold
|
Congrats on your purchase. Glad it went to a good home.
|
Congratulations...glad to see an enthusiast picked it up. Great color combo.
|
I would check with the GSP before you think about driving it to shows if you live in Ga.
