84 DPS Coming To McAllen Tx

While looking on CL last friday night i came across a neat little SSP .:D
1984 Tx DPS vin#1FABP26M9EF184617 DSO 57 0131.
The car is a roller , no eng/trans which we don't mind just happy to have found it period.
The car was looked at by a relative who also locked a deposit down.
We are in direct path of the Hurricane in the golf but the plan is to have it home sunday morning!;)
pics/info next week .

Thanks Fellas !
The hurricane left us about 8" of rain but McAllen did very well in the end.
Looks like my trip for the DPS is ON! I'm sorry i don't have much info to give you guys at this point but soon to come.;)

84 DPS Finally Home !

After a long wknd we are back home with the DPS.:D
Just a few updates till we go into the history some more .
The Carfax is very short n clean on this car which is nice to see.
Looks like it was retired at 70k miles , went to Shertz TX, San Antonio, Marion Tx with NO more miles reported after it left DPS..????
The car shows 139k at this point and from the overall condition i would say it's correct.
The car has a nice orig GRAY int that will need lots of cleaning , console is NOT from this car , Dash has taken many years of TX heat !
The fac radio is still in place and intact also .
Roof ,Hood,Trunk still show the white DPS paint , also glad to see the spot light holes intact ans also the rear anttena holes.
Both buck tags are in place and in great condition , mounted in a odd spot?
common? behind the hood catch .?
NO accident damage found anywhere on the car !
Tired from the trip so this is all i can think for now ..
Almost forgot !!! the pics ..http://s558.photobucket.com/albums/s...84%20TX%20DPS/ link to more pics ...

All comments on this DPS welcomed !

My First Build Sheet !! SWEEEEEEEEEEET !

Today the kids and i pulled the DPS out of the trailer N pulled the seats out to be shampoo'd .
As we took note on what it needs interior wise , Austin my 15yr old asked where you guys have found build sheets???
Austin went straight for the pass rear quarter trim and BAAAAAAAM !!!!
Our first found build sheet !!:D
As like most others found , it's weather'd some . The sheet on the right has the DPS info but hard to see in the pics.

We also cleaned the trunk out and found a nice old Firestone spare ??
Do you guys know what tires these 84's wore ???

Don't know. Is there a typo? Can't even find the word immenger in the dictionary.
