My daughter and I flew into Jacksonville and looked at the maroon 88 fhp and after a thorough looksee and test drive I decided to buy the car. My daughter and I then made for Illinois. I made the 12 hour drive and was extremely tired. The ssp made the drive without any troubles. I am going to try to add pics to this but we'll see how that goes.

I'm using my phone to view/reply, but the car looks great! Glad to hear that you both had a good trip.

Very nice. Trips like that are fun but the wife can't understand why anyone would travel to buy a car. She just don't understand....

Looks pretty nice.....and the road trips are the best part!

I like it. Red looks great with the black wheels.:2thumbs:

Congrats! Looks real good.

The one pic of the VIN plate, I'd say the dash was out at one point due to the fact the VIN plate corner is bent. That's exactly what happened to mine when I replaced the heater core upon reinstalling the dash.

i saw that too. The dash has been replaced because there are no holes in it at all. the one pic of the dash that shows the a/c vent missing is because I removed it to clean some nastiness out...lol... I just hadn't put it back in before I took the pic.

Nice car!! The original owner of the car is from here in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He purchased the car in August of 1991 and owned it until May of 2000.

That is some good info. If anyone knows anything about this car I would greatly appreciate the info.

Hmmm. I wonder if my dash was replaced at some point, too? It's got no holes either.

the maroon is nice for a while.. will have to be until i can afford to have it painted..lol.... My wife and I have discussed it and we think it should go back to the original Black amd cream color scheme. I think that is fitting and just.:)

Roundhat 07-16-2010 03:37 PM
