How many of you own a 1le or b4c camaro too to compliment your mustang?

How many of you also own a 1le or b4c camaro too to compliment your ssp stang? I was just wondering it seems like the 1le is super hard to find?

I have 2 ssp mustangs a 67 camaro and a 93 convertible stang. But would love to add a 1le to my stable.

Let see some pics if you do.

I have been blessed to have two SSP mustangs (Nevada/ CHP) and a 2002 FHP b4c. It is quite a stable with all of these steeds.

I like the camaros too...just had to make choice (can only have so many) and prefer the Mustangs.

I have a 98 B4C from Escondido, CA + 3 SSPs. The B4C is very fast with the LS1, but I honestly have to say, I enjoy driving the SSPs more.

The SSPs are not as powerful, but seem to handle a little more nimbly. Fun having both for those days when my mood changes. :)

Post some pics of your camaro. Also does 1le mean they dont have a/c or what is diffrent on them?

don't have a B4C but i do have a 98SS that I ordered new (no options whatsoever except the SS and 6 speed). It has 22k miles on it and is my toy. My 93 ssp is my daily driver, which acrues only about 10 to 15 miles per week.

NHPcars.com 08-11-2010 11:31 PM

I own the SSP and my buddy Jeff owns the Camaro. We both have 78 Fury's and he also has a 53' ford. Quite the fleet. Once I finish up the SSP, we'll have to see if it's better than the Camaro.

Ex87WSP 08-14-2010 11:13 PM

I just picked up an ex-Wisconsin State Patrol '91 b4c to go with my '87 WI SSP. Should be cool to have them both done (whenever that is........)

Found above over on www.pro-touring.com looks like a nevada camaro highway patrol car. Looks pretty rough though.

Dont know much more.

So essentially a cop car had a 140mph speedometer rear disc brakes usually manual windows and locks, and bigger swaybars does that sound right?

Here was my "descriptor" when I posted it on Ebay several months ago. My heart and head realized it couldn't be replaced and it IS the "COPO" of Gen III Camaro's. That's why I decided not to sell at this point.

1990 Camaro 1LE
VIN:1G1FP238XLL134481

This is an extremely RARE and 100% original 1990 1LE with 10,133 original MILES! Finished in gorgeous red exterior with black “Custom Cloth Bucket” interior. It is optioned with the larger highly desirable 5.7L (350ci) Tuned Port Motor (1 of 28) and is actually a “1 of 1” with California Emissions and is appointed with the highly sought after factory “radio delete”.

Just Out Of MY Private Collection in Original/Unrestored Condition, Never Modified Museum/Time Capsule Quality Right Down To The Original Goodyear Gatorback Tires.
A unique Opportunity to own a piece of Chevrolet Camaro History.
This One Is For The Serious Trans Am Enthusiast And Collector
The Right Options
Low Miles
Truly One Of A Kind

This 1LE has a full pedigree of documentation correlated in a 3 ring binder, including all factory manuals and coveted window sticker. I am the 4th collector owners since new and am looking to free up some space.

The 1LE’s are most valuable with the larger 5.7L (350ci) motors versus smaller 5.0L (305ci), similar to the larger motors found in the original “COPO” Camaro of the late 1960’s.

The 1990 model year was only a half year of production due to Chevrolet not renewing the IROC contract, no IROC-Z's were produced after 12/31/1989. 1990 was the first year for the updated interior which included drivers side airbag, redesigned instrument panel, yellow lettering on dash, rounded controls, etc.

I am an avid car collector and this vehicle is very special vehicle that had originally taken me many years to find. The car resides in Connecticut and has only been exercise driven and is stored in my climate controlled garage. Please, no low-balers or tire kickers. This is NOT a sale of desperation.

The 1LE Package and it Extreme RARITY:
To take an IROC-Z coupe to the maximum performance extreme in 1989, when G92 Performance Axle was ordered with no air conditioning (C41), RPO code 1LE was automatically triggered. For the 1989 and 1990 model years ONLY licensed SCCA drivers could purchase the 1LE package, but that restriction was lifted for the 1991 model year.
This included extra equipment intended to make the IROC-Z more competitive in SCCA Showroom Stock road racing events:
• Larger 11.65-inch (296 mm) front rotors
• 2-piston aluminum calipers from PBR (taken from the Corvette)
• Aluminum driveshaft
• A special baffled fuel tank (to prevent fuel starvation around corners)
• Specific deflected disc shock absorbers
• Stiffer suspension bushings
• 3.42 posi rear end
• Fog Lamp were deleted to reduce weight and improve airflow to the radiator.

Since the 1LE was simply an option combination, not a separate package or model which was promoted, very few customers or even Chevrolet dealers were aware of its existence! As a result, only 111 Camaros were built with the 1LE equipment in 1989 and 64 for 1990. What is the future value of a car like this?!??!

There were a total of 62 1LE equipped IROC-Z28s built in 1990, 28 cars were built with the 5.7L automatic transmissions (B2L 350ci 245 hp) engine that was only available with the automatic transmission and 34 cars were built with the 5.0L(LB9 305ci 230 hp) that was only available with the 5-spd manual transmission.

That 1le is just insane clean. I couldnt even imagine having something that clean it would make you scared to even drive it.

Awesome IROC! Truly! That's cleaner than what could be on the showroom floor!
Very nice ride. I am a Ford man but sometimes must concede to acknowledge nice Chevrolet products!
