Possible GSP???

I'm looking at what is aledged to be a 1989 GSP car, but have a few concerns.... All Ga. cars I've seen had blue interior ( This one has gray with tweed seats). Do any of you know of any Ga. cars that came with gray interior and with the sport seats? He tried to send pics of the buck tags but I can't make them out when I inlarge them. It's a 3hr drive one way so I'd like to be a little more sure before I head out. Is there any way to tell from the VIN # other than a carfax? Thanks for any and all help from you guys...

Interior could have been swapped out. I have never seen a GSP with sport seats. Buck tags or build sheet to be sure.

+1. Only tweeds I ever saw (factory) were DSO 83 (GSA) cars ('91 on, not all).

Upon closer inspection of the pics I recieved, I noticed the sport seats are of the 87-88 version with the big headrest as apposed to the smaller 89 headrest. So deffinately not the factory interior (or at least the not seat's). Did any GSP's come with gray interior?

Unknown at this point. If the seller is claiming GSP, it's really on them to prove it up.

Oh yeah....please ignore the jibber-jabber over yonder. It's a DSO 21 car, which is NEVER a Federal (DSO 83) car.

If that one does NOT work out and you want a GSP ?? I may still have an email to a guy in GA that has a GSP in the sold at auction condition still..
I believe the car never sold ?? and If I remember ...the price was close to 8k?
Let us know how you make out with your find..

Mike.. It's one the was listed a few times with a small amount of info..
I think the CL add stated that you could still see where they took a
razor blade and removed the STATE TROOPER off the fenders .. Do you recall the car now?? The owner was super nice to chat with on the phone! I think there was a good size discussion on ORG a while back about it..

Like I said...I think the car was just as it left the auction..?

MOstang 04-08-2011 06:50 PM

Yes I think this is the one that I recall. Hope someone in the hobby picks it up if still available.

GSPI 04-10-2011 01:43 AM

Wonderful news on saving another one!

28HopUp 04-10-2011 07:35 AM

That's awesome! So is the 84 FHP savable? There's not too many of those around any more.

MOstang 04-10-2011 03:04 PM

Congrats on it.

kapracing 04-11-2011 12:11 AM

Thanks guys... Yea the 84's very salvagable (ruff but builable)In fact my GSP is probably in ruffer condition. He's asking $2500 for it as a roller. Cant post pics here of it for some reason Probably something I havent figured out yet... I've posted them over there... I'll start a new thread on it.
