1992 gov't ssp for sale

I just found this today (not mine). the owner is looking to sell. Nice body, no rust, runs good, needs interior. I took a pic of the door tag but couldn't get my phone in close enough for the buck tags. DSO POLICE on the second tag. Has clean title. he is asking $2500 obo now and says price will go up if he decides to put a nice interior in it. If anyone is interested you can pm me.

Holy Cow!! That would have been one busy car!!! :Wow: heh heh heh

ImEvil1 05-31-2011 11:58 PM

Whatever it is, it's cheap....and a neat color.

FoxChassis 06-01-2011 01:18 AM

In a batch of 20 consecutive VIN (170570-170589).

NoDrama43 06-01-2011 11:31 AM

I hope everyone recognised my sarcasm....

I always get a kick out of how so many believe that their 83 DSO govt car was some sort of clandestine, black ops "undercover" car. lol

GSPI 06-01-2011 11:47 AM

Alphabet soup car that was used for clandestine operations isn't real?!?

Sorry, got out of control for a moment...

Very true...but not just with the DSO 83 cars. I see lots of references to "undercover" used with plain old "unmarked" cars from different agencies.

Or is that sell the dream so the next person can live the nightmare.

NoDrama43 06-01-2011 04:29 PM

i like to refer to it as "hypetizing" the car hoping somebody buys into it.

used alot by the MAGM

Or just making up shit. It's a popular phenomenon in certain circles.

67gt500 06-02-2011 10:17 PM

Wow, this started a whirlwind against those who "hypetize" some of these cars. All I wanted to do was list this "govt" car for sale.:rollhappy:
It is funny how that happens though. Some of these guys try to pass thier ssp off as the one that chased OJ!

thanks for listing the car. decent price so hopefully it will get a new home.

fortunatly the seller of this car is not making claims of service use like that which is good. Many time sellers do, because they have been given erroneous info or like Mike said they just like to make shit up, hoping the next guy will buy into it.

mrjody 06-10-2011 11:47 PM

Anyone know if this car is still forsale???

67gt500 06-11-2011 12:32 AM

mrjody, the car is still for sale, just saw it again yesterday.

mrjody 06-11-2011 01:50 PM

Thanks 67gt500 for the info!!

calimustang 06-11-2011 01:54 PM

this definitely is a better deal than 93 FHP SSP

mrjody 06-11-2011 02:00 PM

Probably so... I would rather have a 5 speed, but its not that big of a deal..

67gt500 10-24-2011 10:57 PM

just saw this car a few days ago. They have done a bunch of work to it and it looks so much better inside. the runs and drives great. has a nice grey interior in it now and some chrome ponies. ( I liked the ol 10 holes better )
they are asking $3500 now.

What's up with the paint? It looks half Bimini Blue and half Medium Shadow Blue...what was the original interior color?

FoxChassis 10-25-2011 04:32 PM

K3 = Bimini Blue
DA = Titanium cloth & vinyl

Thanks, Fox. I didn't have my book with me.

67gt500 10-25-2011 10:27 PM

The paint was half polished and the other half is just oxidized. It will need to be painted, AZ sun just kills paint jobs!
Here is a picture of the data plate.
