Yes indeed: A real event for sure. I really must restrain myself but I am having a hard time doing it. Help

its on ebay right now. Hit 10K right away. At first I saw 7 bids right away the reserve not met at 10K and thought his buddys pumping it up...
Then I saw it had 1800 miles on it and the photos !! Man! thats the car to have !! The best of the best ! |
I would rather have an SSP that was in service and used for police work. But that is just my personal preference.

Its not a real SSP in use but that opens the door for using the car as a daily and is a way to have one for the next 20 years without major restoration cost (I think) For a long lasting driver no different than any 93 this can be useful. ,I would do a 5sp conversion (I know that is not pleasing to some) and use it in good weather. Since it has no history I wouldnt feel I was ruining it because no mods are intended for it. In short, a car to enjoy driving, but with no garage I fear I would not be able to keep it in top shape. Damn this is a temptation that I know I should resist but its hard to do so. I feel better now, thanks

Charlie,
I think you could do the same with any low-mileage coupe. As an example, I bought an '85 GT w/47k original miles on it last month. I drove the car for 550+ miles without any issues, other than the A/C needing repaired. Any 20 year old car, no matter the mileage, is going to have some issues. |
Ok thanks Mike. I shall cool it for now

I see someone has already "accidently" bid 150,000.00 to find out the reserve........ anyway...... to me this is not a car to daily drive. this is garage art that 20 years from now you take to Barrett Jackson and sell for 60k. I look at this car more as an investment. If I want to daily drive one I would buy a standard, non SSP equipped car, but that is just me. low mile one owner fox mustangs are not hard to find. super low mile, (1489) never in service SSP cars are very very hard to find. just my .02 |
Just talked to my Ford service. Manual conversion possible but too expensive really. I can wait for something else. If I could live with the AOD I would though.

Auction just ended. No sale at 17,300. I hope he will relist at lower reserve.

<gulp> Wow, what a beauty.
This is exactly what I'm looking for in non-SSP daily driver form. If any of you know of a low mileage AOD 5.0 Coupe (below 100k mi), let me know. I'm casually looking and tossing around the idea of selling the Bullitt to get out of the 5-spd as a daily driver. My cousin is ready to buy it. This white with gray color scheme is my favorite. Silver 10-hole wheels preferred. I do NOT want a project, but understand normal wear and tear. I'll post the same in the wanted section, but thought I would go ahead and mention it here. Best of luck, Charlie, in finding yours. Greg |

I believe that is a very fair price for what the car is.
