Who can figure out what this is... (teaser alert)
All I will tell you is that it is a 79-86, and that my dad is in the process of trying to aquire it:D Who can guess what it is exactly;)

Thats tough! Any other clues? Looks like someone parted it out.
|
From the black engine compartment, polished drip rail, and what looks to be a tan steering wheel, I'm gonna guess that's a 1985 CHP Mustang.
|
Im gonna say 84 CHP because of the side moulding could be 82 though. The front cover throughs you off at first. If your Dads buying it its probably one of those two lol
|
HINT: The correct hubcaps are hard to find in nice shape. And by the way you are right about it being a CHP Bill:)
And the wheel lip chrome is a very rare option;) haha |
a HUGE project
|
Looks to be a 1986 CHP Mustang to me...after it went through Rampart!

Space SSP.........seen it! from the Star Trek episode SSP V the Enterprise on a side note........I like the way you photo shopped it in to look like it's in a salvage yard someplace.....good one :) |

The car is in a wrecking yard, surrounded by darkness:eek: All I did was edit in the black in Microsoft paint;) lol |
My guess as well is an 84 CHP with an 85/86 nose. As the steelies with hub caps are pretty hard to find.
|
Is that an '82? Looks like the correct door panel for one. I didn't think the door panels were the same for an '84.... What is it!
|
Ok, here is a restored "twin" to the Space SSP:D
2 of you knew that it could be an 82(good job chp1982:) ), and you were right! I still really want an 84 though:) For what was shown in the pics, an 84 was a very good guess;) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3012/...f6107bed5d.jpg |
So Sam, is your Dad going to buy this 82 CHP?
|
That is what he plans to do once the wrecking yard owner gets the title from the people that dropped off the car. The car is fairly complete and original. It's just missing the engine/trans, hood/scoop, front seats, wheels, and front bumper. It is also rust free:)

Here is a couple more pics:D
