Not mine, but I know the owner (previous owner too) and I have seen the car in person (very nice).

I checked it when I posted it and now my favorites gets the same message (This domain is expired, please renew it.). How strange that the domain has expired in the last 2 hours. I have the present seller's phone number if you are interested. Also the DSO (as pointed out in another thread, not a TX sourced car as ad stated). I do remember talking to the owner before this one at a local car show about 6 years ago and he said he thought the car was originally from Georgia.

If it was a car for sale, maybe it sold?

It's possible (the whole domain is down), but I doubt it sold that quickly, as it was listed at over $9k. It was just listed on Thursday and I talked to the owner on the phone about the car the week before.

Link now works.

Sure is a nice looking car.

Ended @ $10,205.00!

Was that a sale price or did it have a reserve and top out at that amount? Thanks.

Mike, the reserve was $9,500 and the sale price took it to a new owner.

This one is now listed on ebay -

I wonder if the previous deal fell through or if it is being flipped? The phone number is different, but there is a reference about a previous buyer backing out over shipping. At least the new listing has better pictures that can be added to the VIN Project ;)

EXNODRAMANOTCH 03-23-2012 08:31 PM

Yes, the deal fell through. I talked to the seller tonight, and the auction winner decided that he did not want to pay the $1,600 shipping to Galveston, TX (and the seller let him out of the deal).

Seems like you would know that additional costs are going to come into play when buying a car out of state. You either need to fly and in and drive it out incurring all of those related costs, or you need to spend the dough to have a carrier bring it to you. The auction, as I recall, had a couple or more 0 and 1 feedback type bidders in the mix. Assuming it was really the buyer, this would be just one more ePay/Craigslist dreamer out there that can't finish a deal...

It didn't cost half that much to have my car come up from Austin to CLE!? Seems strange.

I agree, I think the buyer got cold feet and fabricated the high shipping cost to get out of the deal.
