My new car is HERE!
Check out a picture I just took of my new car -
http://images15.fotki.com/v587/photo...therCar-vi.jpg It's a vintage gasoline-power Roy Cox Thimble Drome tether car from the 1940's or 50's. The engines are similar to what you find in model airplanes. Pretty cool! I found it on ebay. Did anyone else have a Cox tether car when they were young? And in case you thought this thread was about my California Special that was due to arrive on Tuesday... ...IT IS!!! The driver came three days early and dropped it off Saturday night. I already installed the new Raxiom taillights, which really set off the back end. http://images112.fotki.com/v681/phot.../GTCS02-vi.jpg http://images51.fotki.com/v103/photo.../GTCS03-vi.jpg http://images42.fotki.com/v663/photo.../GTCS01-vi.jpg :D |
Congrats (on both). Very nice.
nice ride(s).
Thanks Andy! :)
VERY nice Bill.
Awesome Bill! Now it just needs some LEDs and stickers :D
jk, but I think it needs some black accents around the headlight/grille area :) |
all i can say is DAMNNNN what a sweet ride!
I'm thinking a "Shaker" hood. :) and a shifter upgrade and call it done. Maybe exhaust....
Exhaust is already done. :) I picked up a pair of GT500 axleback mufflers from a friend at another forum. They are slightly louder without being obnoxious. In terms of other modifications, I'd like to go with a slight window tint all around - no more than 50% or 35% ceramic film. I MAY drop it with lowering springs, but frankly I really love how it rides stock and hate to mess that up. I could do gears and a tune using the factory intake and K&N filter, but I'm very happy with 412 horses so far. I've still been very good while breaking in the engine - I haven't even chirped a tire yet.

Congrats Bill...Love the Cali Specials and a great color aswell.
Turn the TC off. That will fix the tire chirping problem. :)
Haha! Is that what I'm doing wrong???? :D
I'm wondering which 'Stang you'll pull up in?

And again, thanks for dinner. Next time you're in The Motor City, dinner's on me. I can't down load the plane pictures from my camera onto my iPad, so we'll have to wait 'till I get home tomorrow. |

Toshi, it was great to finally meet you last night! :) All three of us really enjoyed it.
For those who are curious, Toshi flew into Philadelphia this week, so we went up last night to have dinner with him. Leaving the hotel on our way to Bonefish Grill (not Joe's Crab Shack), we drove past a Hooters in Bensalem, PA that was hosting a huge car show. There were easliy more than 100 cars there, so we made a u-turn and ate there instead. We were in the new GTCS, so I parked on the grass behind the restaurant. We were not detered/detoured by the bikini dunk tank, and found an open table inside. After dinner, we walked out and the guy at the MC tent piped up over the speakers and said they had a t-shirt for the first person to come up to them with a Ford key-fob. My new Mustang key was close enough, so Jack (not Debbie!) got a new shirt. We walked around looking at the cars for a bit, and then we rode out to the airport to look at the airplane Toshi piloted into town. We got a nice tour of the 8-passenger Citation jet, and headed back to the hotel to say our goodbyes. It's nice to catch up with members from the forum and put a face to the username. Toshi, we will have to do it again soon! :D |
