Getting her ready for new paint...
Sanding off all that pealing clear is a pretty big job ...lol
Hopefully she'll be wearing new 5C paint soon. Still got a lot to do and a lot of blocking, but making good progress.

28HopUp 07-23-2012 11:27 AM

Bobby, that should come out looking Bee Eee Aaa You Tee Full! Please keep us posted on your progress... :)

NoDrama43 07-23-2012 11:41 AM

looking good Bobby. Don't forget to take out those tailights, quarter window sail panels, front bumper cover emblem, door handles, lock cylinders, and loosen the bumper covers to pull them away from the body just a tad. That way you don't paint them to the car...lol.

kapracing 07-23-2012 12:04 PM

lol I am. I'm putting all that off until after all blocking is done (so I can still drive it). I'm really enjoying driving this little car...

That looks fantastic! Are we converting you over to a four-eyed fan yet?

sspanthony 08-04-2012 01:19 PM

kapracing 08-04-2012 01:30 PM

Thanks for the compliments... It has came a long way. I do like seeing nice 4eyed cars they're just not my preference ... But if they were ....lol

Man I wish it had been a 87 or up...

chp1982 08-04-2012 04:56 PM

That thing would look sweet with the original steel wheels and hubcaps...I'm guessing that's what is prob had?

Yes it is.
If I end up keeping it that's what I'll put back on it and swap it back to 5spd like it came.

28HopUp 08-05-2012 12:06 PM

Bobby, your SSP looks great! If my CHP was an aero car, then I would seriously consider swapping with you. :)

But you've had it forever Bill !!!! Lol
I do like the 85-86's a little better... :-)

I wish this one was a areo car, then I'd keep it forever.

That is one sharp color...I can see why that on a 4-eyed SSP would really draw a crowd.

ChrisL 08-13-2012 09:55 AM

Man, that really looks great. I love that color!

chism 08-13-2012 10:26 AM

Looks awesome! I agree that color makes the car. Whats the name of the color out of curiosity? Thanks in advance. :) There's just not enough love for 4-eye cars. I've got my sights set on an 82 GT my buddy found on an abandoned lot. :)

sspanthony 08-13-2012 09:45 PM

Car looks good in the pics ! Good luck w/ selling it......

kapracing 10-20-2012 08:25 PM

This car is supposed to be at the Moonshine Festival in Ellijay Ga. the 27th of Oct. I plan on going to see it again and getting some good pictures of it. The new owner is a collector himself and loves this car, so she's in great hands. Pretty cool to take a "Georgia Department of Revenue" car to the "Moonshine Festival" don't you think? lol

Recent pic of 1984 Georgia Department of Revenue SSP. He has the right wheels and caps put up just likes the looks of the 85-86's better.

ChrisL 05-14-2013 10:30 AM
