Maybe he removed the equipment so that the ebay enforcement nazi's wouldn't delete his ad?:headscratch:

Hi Bernie who's car was it?

Bud Turcq aka w4ata.

Well,
Thats news to me, had I not seen your posts I would have missed it. I sold the car a few months ago to a friend of mine who wanted the car without the equipment for a daily driver and then I heard he found something else he wanted and put it up for sale. Didnt know it was going to E bay. I will be selling all the equipment from it shortly as I am getting out of the hobby for awhile. We are selling the house in NC and will be moving to Pensacola permanently. After getting settled there we plan to get back into the hobby with an unmarked car this time, preferably an automatic car. I am trying to decide whether to sell the equipment as a complete package or piece it out.Everything was working including the micor, pack rt,radar and the light bar. The JSS was complete but never hooked up. Hate to see it on E bay but it is his car or was, he may have sold it. |
Sorry to hear you sold Bud. I always liked your car and was surprised to see it on eBay. I knew it was yours when I saw the dash and where the micor speaker and JSS were mounted. Even though my car didn't come with it I would like first dibs on that mount and the FHP first aid kit (if you decide to sell them separately). How in the world did you find that mount?
|
Going by what several retired troopers described to me, I made it .I transferred all the holes from the dash to the plate so the dash stayed original. I have the drawings for it somewhere and can email them to you if I can find it. I'll put your name on it if I go that route. I hated to let the car go but we just have too many things going right now trying to maintain 2 places and traveling back and forth. We are down sizing and trying to make life more simple if thats possible.

That would be great Bud. Let me know. I hope the car gets back into the hands of an enthusiast.

what happened to the fender? is this a nice car? reasonably priced? good bones? thanks, I've been looking for one casually, but, don't know enough about them to tell.
|
it looks good to me, but, I'm too ignorant on these cars to fully know if it's a nice "beginer home" in my search for a nice solid SSP. I just want one to tool around town in, but, don't know if I can with the current color scheme? Thats kind of what scares me about getting one of these SSPs, all of the rules about what you can sport and what you can't. Paint schemes, badges, etc. I guess I could always ask my sister, a 30 year retired MD Trooper, she would definitely set me straight, as she always has...thanks guy, appreciate your patience as I learn about these cars. I like this one, I must admit, but, don't want my first purchase to be a big mistake! or regret.

I am in no rush as the FHP is on the back burner until the NMSP is done. So if and when you decide to sell please keep me in mind. |
I should know what I'm going to do shortly. I know it is a PITA to ship everything individually but ideally what I would like to do is sell it all as a local pickup deal. There is a lot of things extra that was not in the car, anniversary things(plate, mug, pins), a gmp die cast car HT90 and charger, manuals for jetsonic,JSS,unity,HT90, Pac-RT,PA200 etc. Extra jetsonic parts and lenses, radar brackets etc. I will be putting pictures of all this on my fotki site as I get time. The first aid kit is going back to the trooper I got it from as I told him if I ever sold the car I would return it to him. The jetsonic bar is correct and is the chain drive.
