I have for sale a 1993 Mustang LX SSP in excellent condition. This mustang was used at Ford as a reference car to other SSP mustangs built for law enforcement use. This mustang was NEVER put into law enforcement use. When I purchased this car it had 12,350 miles on it. It now has only 16,176 miles on it now. This Mustang does have the SSP Package and has the police ID tag behind the driver side headlight. There are a few upgrades on this car that really make it an awesome car to drive. It has a Kenne Bell 1.5L twin screw supercharger with a matching cold air filter system that produces 7psi of boost. The throttle body and mass air are matched to the supercharger system. The exhaust is upgraded to a flow master system that sounds awesome. It has brand new factory wheels and high performance tires that makes this car handle very well. There are no modifications to the engine. All stock as it came from ford. This car performs amazingly well and is a fine example of the last year of the fox body mustang. Everything works like new on this car as you would expect on a 16,176 mile car. If you have any questions or would like to inspect the car you can contact me at 910-506-9533. Thanks.
It's the second one in a group of three consecutive P40E VINs. The third one (PF109124) has a page in the VIN Project, and was a "Test Vehicle" at FoMoCo and equipped as an SSP.

Wow very different....I like it.

Viking71 04-22-2013 02:45 PM

Why are the steering wheel and pedals so worn if it only has 16k original miles on it?

TWOCARNUTS 04-22-2013 03:17 PM

I spoke with the owner last night...the vin is one newer than mine and according to the "autocheck" it was in Fords hands until 1996 just like mine....missing the 10 hole wheels but a fine looking PD Reef Blue car...Rare duck indeed...

OldSSPguy 04-22-2013 07:13 PM

Do we know what the HP rating is for this car?
Just curious.

TWOCARNUTS 04-22-2013 08:22 PM

I have a friend who has a similar set up on a GT and with exhaust mods it is making around 320hp...nice ride...

the pedals are not worn. the steering wheel looks like crap from the sun. That is why the left side of the wheel is way worse than the right.

I think the miles are legit, but given the amount fo runst on things under the hood the car has definately sat outside. A couple years outside is all it takes to fry trim etc.

I am the new owner of the car, was looking for a nice coupe for awhile after I sold my teal/black 93 cobra. Also looking for something I could drive a little more then the garage queens that I usually have. This seemed to fill the needs of what I was looking for since it was already supercharged with lower mileage. I did receive the original intake, set of 10 holes, factory headers with the deal, the rest of the parts a pretty easy to come by here and there if I desire to return it to a stock car. The car needs some TLC in a few areas, plus a major detail, which are on the list to do. Me and "TWOCARNUTS" live about an hour apart and attend some local shows together, so this year is going to be interesting since his car and mine are VIN# side by side. Here are a few shots of the car today while I had it out.

Finally got around to ordering a Marti Report, here is a screen shot off my phone to show what it says. Also, I will attach the buck tag pictures. This is truly the sister car to "TWOCARNUTS" except it was built the next day.

1FACP40E1PF109124 - Ford Test Vehicle (89-0002)

I wonder if the first VIN in that three VIN batch was also a "Test Vehicle" and if so if it also had a special order number and what it was.

MOstang 05-28-2013 11:47 AM

That "dealer" location on the Marti Report just for your information, references the EVB (Experimental Vehicle Building) location within the Ford R&E Center (Research & Engineering).

FoxChassis 05-28-2013 11:54 AM

On those Marti reports sometimes fields in the dealer info area are too long and have to be shortened to abbreviated words or acronyms.

now we know what EXP. VEHS. B means. :D

Wander if the other is still around, anyone have a carfax/autocheck to run the report to see the last location?

93 Test SSP LX Mustang Coupe "Reef Blue"
I am throwing it out there to see if anyone maybe interested in the car, I don't have to sell it just kinda bored with the toys I have now. This car is the one I'd rather sell at the time. It is a true SSP car, actually was used for a test car proven by the Marti Report I have for it. My friend actually owns the sister VIN# car to it also as pictured later.
Alright more details about the car, it is a 1993 Mustang LX Coupe, it currently has like 17k original miles, original 5 speed car. Earlier in it's life it was equipped wit the Kenne Bell 1.5L or "TS100 blower" It is set up with the 6# pulley and still currently running the FMU. The car also has other mods like March air intake kit, BBK 70mm throttle body and spacer, Mishimoto aftermaket radiator, 75MM Pro M mass air flow sensor. It does have a full exhaust starting with BBK headers to a straight H pipe NO CATS, to flowmaster mufflers, to LX Style tips, sounds good and not too loud.
The paint the factory color of "Reef Blue" is original except the Drivers door it has been repainted at some point, it still retains all VIN tag's on every panel. The car shows very well and runs and drive's great, it does currently have Pony wheels on as it should have the ten hole wheels.
I am the third owner of the car I bought it from a the second in NC earlier this summer. It originally resided in Michigan in it's earlier life, by the original owner. I do have a few stock parts for the car, intake stock headers, a set of ten hole wheels that need re-finished, I was going to do them black.
I would be asking $15k for it, it's hard to find a nice coupe let alone a nice coupe with this type of history.
Here are a few pictures of it, if interested PM Me or email Willbiti@gmail.com

GRNSNK 09-07-2013 01:25 AM

Does anyone know why so soon? Looks really sharp in pics.

GRNSNK 09-07-2013 01:37 AM

The seller seems like a really straight guy though. I am trying to get to IN in the next week or so from FL to take a serious look, and would love to bring it home!

28HopUp 09-07-2013 07:40 AM

Good luck! :)

TWOCARNUTS 09-07-2013 09:38 AM

Will is a good friend of mine....he has another car in his sights and will move the coupe to pursue.....great car saw it at the Nationals in Indy just a few weeks ago...

GRNSNK 09-07-2013 06:35 PM

He sent me pics of every part of the coupe and his cobras too. He has some amazing rides. And he has been really great talking to about this car. Very nice guy, and very upfront. You have the sister car then. He told me about that car and it looks great too. They both have very interesting and mysterious histories. I was just looking for a clean coupe, not particulary looking for an SSP, but that car grabs your attention. Hoping to see it in person soon.

It is an awesome ride....I was trying to pick it up to park next to mine but 3 in the stable right now allows no more room....lol....great car he has indeed.. with a really odd history...

willyb93 09-09-2013 01:09 AM

Thanks for adding it to the for sale section again "FoxChassis", No big reason for selling, kinda get bored with cars after awhile. The car has turned out better with a little TLC from when I purchased the car, still could use some IMO. "GRNSNK" hopefully we can get this car looked at and seal the deal so to say this week for you. As always I am always on the prowl for something new, may get something may not, but if I do I'd rather move a car first, but don't have too.
At least we got a shot of the brother's, or sister side by side this year.
