mds2008 04-29-2013 02:46 PM

Thank you. It looks like a new car in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

usajay38 04-29-2013 06:48 PM

nice

28HopUp 04-29-2013 07:58 PM

Nice lookin' SSP. Have you had it for long? I remember this car being listed on CL not too long ago.

I asure you it was not on there. Maybe another one. There are a few white ones have been on CL in the past.

You ad says #263. Are we correct in assuming that means the last three of the VIN?

JF172263 was listed on ebay in Turner, OR in Sept 2012

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...ead.php?t=4476

Oregon (1988) >> Washington (1994-2011) >> Oregon (2012) >> Virginia (2012-present)

28HopUp 04-30-2013 09:54 AM

Fox took this kinda where I was headed. If the OP's SSP is the one already listed in our VIN Project as 172263, then if you want we can add more pictures to its page. If your SSP is a different car (perhaps 172275, which I added today using pictures from a for sale ad on the Corral), then we would be happy to create a page for it in our Project.

mds2008 04-30-2013 10:33 AM

Yes that is the correct. Vin XXXjf172263.
I have done a lot of work, improvements, and very heavely detailed and the car is awesome. Its one of the nicest ones I have seen in a long time around my parts. I'm thinking of pulling the ad of CL. because I am overwelmed with the phone calls.

I just tried the link in the first post for the CL ad (in order to quote if for posterity), but the listing has already been deleted. However, I did find a CL ad in Norfolk that still works -

Real SSP car. Beautiful org. paint and interior, runs, drives and ready for the shows. Cold a/c new tires, full size spare, very very rare SSP. Super light car, drive anywhere. Well cared for Mustang. All molding is perfect and not pitted like a car that was kept outside. You must see this car in person as how clean and how great this car looks. No scammers, no trades, I don't need help selling. I don't have to sell it, just putting it out there if anyone is looking. Come look at it, drive it, make me an offer. They were for some lights, not for the deer. Sale pending to a member on here. Pretty cool.

No holes in the bumber, they were on a bracket mounted behind the grill. Not as many holes as some of these cars have. Yes its the same car. Lots of interest in it. I made lots of fixes, improvements, all new fluids, gaskets, seals, plugs, wires, dist. and extensive underbody detailing and more. 100% better than before.

mds2008 05-01-2013 09:41 PM

I have a about 5 old Kustom Radar units, boxes and tuning forks, Siren boxes and lights, spot light and lots of period correct items. Few light bars aswell.

Congrats on the pending sale. Happy to hear it will end up in a good home.

mds2008 05-02-2013 11:38 AM

We will see. I will hear back next week, as he will be out of town for a week on business. I kinda wanna keep it longer and work more on it. I miss playing with Fox bodies. I have had numerous Fox's in the last 25 years and they are so much fun.
