1988 Pierce County, WA Sheriff (PCSD) SSP - McAllen, TX
 

The rare, blue, PCSD SSP is up for sale on CL from McAllen, TX. Currently owned by a forum member (Hector), and previously owned by a local SSP collector in Tacoma, WA.

I am very familiar with this car, and have seen it in-person from when it was out at local shows. Have ridden in it, too - and it's a very STRONG runner. Beautiful in every way, and original paint from what I know of it.

The car was 1 of 1 in blue. PCSD had a number of red cars, some white K9 units, and a single blue and single silver SSP. We have not found any white units or the silver car to date. I have one of the sister cars to this one in red.

Rare piece of Pierce County history - and I can help on background info if anyone is interested. In my opinion, very fair price given the condition, color and rarity. Current seller is a great guy to work with, too.

Do you have any updates on this SSP? I'm very curious to learn if you have any info/photos how the equipment and lighting was situated on this car, since it is my understanding that this PCSD unit was a slicktop and did not use a lightbar.
