Just got this one home the other day. It's pretty rough. Has a rusty roof, core support, and frame rails. It has no engine or transmission. Interiors rough etc etc.

What's your plans for it? :popcorn1:

Well I figure I'll do some sort of resto mod with it, keep the FHP theme and looks, stock style interior. I have a 408 on an engine stand just begging to be put in somthing. I love the history of these cars but I feel that this one is rough and incomplete enough to do what I want to it and not feel bad about it. Any comments on that are welcome. I have 3 ssp's that will remain stock and will be restored to in service condition, I think this one can and will be a very cool car once I'm done.

Any idea how many 84 year model SSPs the FHP had? I do not, just curious.

According to .ORG there were 50 in 1984. In the VIN Project there is a group of 50 with some confirmed FHPs, and the 1st and 50th in that group have the same DSO (24-0326) This one is the 48th consecutive in that group of 50.

Yes, this one is in our VIN Project -

It's the DHSMV property sticker.

84specialed 01-13-2015 12:15 PM

What does DHMSV stand for? What does the number mean?

FoxChassis 01-13-2015 01:04 PM

DHSMV = Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

84specialed 03-04-2015 07:47 PM

Do the numbers 60395 on the tag in the glovebox mean anything?
