Gatorbacks

Got my new set of Goodyear Gatorbacks from Rusty Small on Saturday. Hope to have them on in time for the Gate City Triad Mustang Club Car Show this coming Saturday in Greensboro.

Post some pics up when you get a chance.

Are these the new and improved versions? Kelsey Tire still doesn't have them listed on their website.

Yes, these are the latest version from Kelsey. They ran a small batch to send to customers on a waiting list and asked that we give them feedback on their performance, ride quality, etc. I'll keep you posted.

Good to hear. I hope you are pleased with them.

Great! Can't wait to hear how they work out.

I'll be needing tires soon, definitely keep us informed.

Went to a car show in Greensboro this past weekend that was about a 140 mile round trip. Mostly Interstate travel at speeds between 65 and 75 mph. Tires did great! Have a great feel to them cruising on the highway. More noisy on concrete than asphalt, but not objectionable. Will try them out on some two lane roads in the near future.

Sounds promising! :2thumbs:

I'll try and post some pics this weekend when I get the car back out of storage.

Are they truly V speed rated?

I think the DOT would have something to say about it, if they were marked as "V" rated and in reality, were something less than that.

I've finally gotten pictures, but the files are too big to post. Any help would be appreciated.

Since I got the tires, I've only been on one extended trip. That was to a car show about 65 miles away. Mostly interstate travel at speeds up to 75 mph. They were a little noisier than the tires I had on before, but not objectionable. They were quieter on asphalt than on concrete. All four tires were mounted for show with the valve stem centered on the winged foot between GOOD and YEAR and the installer had no problem at all balancing any of the tires. So far, I'm very pleased with them.

I was told a new batch would arrive last Wednesday and they would ship to all that had standing orders asap. Mine arrived today. Guess I had better start the hunt for my steel wheels now.http://cactusprecinct.com/photos/pic...aiterbacks.jpg
