83-84 Texas DPS unrestored....

Check it out. This is at the DPS museum in San Antonio...

Wow! That car needs to be restored and put indoors.

That's an '83, Matt!

What's the story (if you know)?

Looks like I'll need to make a trip to San Antonio at some point and take some pics of the interior. I think that DPS drilled holes in the console surround for the switches to control the e-lights, and this car could help verify that.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Awesome. :2thumbs:

No story that I know... My brother was down by the museum that he had no idea existed and this car is outside on a side lot of back lot. I imagine if you go and ask they might tell you what and maybe let you check it out.

Wanna take a ride over sometime? :)

Unmrkd 11-18-2007 07:54 AM

Don't wait too long guys. Those things have a way of being there one day and gone the next. It would be sad to go and have the folks respond "What Mustang Patrol Car"???:(

That is a real piece of history and could yield all kinds of answers about configuration issues for the Texas guys. Good Luck!!!!

Sure if I were back in town for some length of time that would be cool.

I don't mind taking Matt's place Mike. We can hop in the 89 SSP. It needs a good road trip.

Ok, Tom, sounds good to me. :)

Matt,

For some reason...I forgot about your being out of town so much lately. I think I need more sleep.:headscratch:

Yes, I think you need more sleep. I wish I could make the road trip with you guys but to much time out of town right now means when I'm home I need to be with the Family.

Nope but I may have to go and take a look once I get home from D.C. and go visit my Brother one weekend. I will take more pictures when I get there but it will be a while.
