That sucks, hit me just like just like Dale Earnhardt's death. I never liked the guy but I never wished he would die.

If you really watched that show, he was always stressed out. You could see it in his face many times. the guys that were working for him seemed to be major tools, especially like that Blue Bear f**k.

I just wish someone would explain to me the cause of death.
I hate that it happened. He had a good eye and great talent. A true loss to the automobile world.

From what I have gathered from my room mate who is very connected with the hot rod scene, Boyd had a severe case of scerosis (sp) of the liver and that is what killed him. I think his official website says something different.

I had heard he was a diabetic for a long time....we may never know.
Knowing the cause of death helps me with closure.

Someone had posted it was liver disease on Wikipedia, too.

Unfortunately Boyd didn't seem to be the nicest of guys. Hopefully he was ready...

I don't know....maybe he was OK. We only saw the TV side of him. He was a guy under a lot of pressure and I am sure the TV show only added to his stress. He was a business man and had severe deadlines to meet in a world dictated by hobby money. I too, hope he was ready! There's nothing like having the riches of God's promises waiting on you.

God Bless all of you my friends!

I liked watching the show alot until they turned it into a 3 ring circus. I learned alot from the show plus it was very interesting. I'm sure he did have alot of stress, especially when you have your present wife and your ex-wife working in the same building. If he wasn't ready, he's going to be stuck in "midtown" for a while.
