Wig Wag Installation?
Guys, can anyone help me out with installing the Wig Wags on my SSP? It looks like there are pigtails coming out of each of the front headlights. I was wondering if anyone had some direction as I would like to get them installed and done correctly to what Santa Clara might have done. There are three switches in the car already...any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...John;)

What brand is your flasher?

Mike, plesae bear with me as this is new to me. Unitrol Model #480K if that is the correct part.

No prob.
I believe that the Unitrol 480k is a siren/switch combo. You need a separate headlight flasher (if you don't already have one). |
Any suggestions as to what one Santa Clara used? I would like to get these hooked up...

I don't know specifically what they ran for a flasher. Jim Y. might know, since he made a contact out there. You could always use an old Unitrol (like the ones that Daniel just sold on here), since it matches up wth the other equipment. Any brand will work, you just have to be careful to look at the flash rate and don't get anything too new (if that stuff matters to you).
Also, you could always get something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/lightbar-accesso...QQcmdZViewItem http://i4.ebayimg.com/03/i/001/1a/a7/9a77_1.JPG And mount it in the glove box with the rest of the equipment. Personally, though, if you are using a switchbox, I'd go with something that mounts underhood: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SOUND...spagenameZWDVW http://i24.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/e4/96/a61c_2.JPG You should be able to get a working flasher off of eBay for $10-$20. |
