i just recently saw a NCHP door tag that had two paint codes, black and silver but it was a 90's car. My guess is they probably bought the early cars one color and then ford agreed to paint them two tone in later years.

I have also seen the 2 paint tags but on 90's cars also. I have a Trooper searching for info in NC.

Don't know if it's still alive and if it is who owns it. Last time it was heard from was in TN in 1994.
