Is this correct for 1988 SSP

Is the jack pictured the same as the jack that would be used in a 1988 SSP? For the record it is originally from a 1986 GT...

Pretty sure it's the same jack as regular-production cars, just the hold-down is longer (for the full-size spare). Can't remember when they went from blue to black (or back).

My 1988 civilian LX notchback had an identical black jack in it. As for my 1988 CHP SSP, it came with the following in the trunk:

A blank canvas, huh Michael? ;)

I looked through my totes of 8292 parts and found the original Jack. I looked back through my pictures of its tear down and confirmed it was its original Jack. It is Black btw... This blue one is from an 86 so I guess in either 87 or 88 they changed over to black from the blue... Darn shame as this jack and spare had never been out of car and Jack is NOS quality... Wonder if it's the same as came in my 83???? |

Pic from my documentation of 8292. So evidently the 88's had the black scissor jacks....
