'92 CHP Takes A Wild Ride
Another photo share from FB. This one got cut off by a lane changer while doing 115 mph in pursuit of an offender and had to bail into the median. Thankfully no injuries but the officer says the unit sustained many thousands of dollars in damage and was eventually returned to service.
Keep an eye out for the ID# if you ever run into this one on a used car lot! http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rtftksqfs...t115mph-vi.jpg |
It's always great hearing the stories of the mustangs in service. It seems like the officers that crashed them got an extra amount of grief for doing so. For the most part, these cars were loved.

Interesting story! This SSP was an early addition to our VIN Project back in 2012 -

Do we know who owns the car now? |
This is on the southbound 14 just N of the Crown Valley exit in Acton. That ARCO is still there. This unit was assigned to the AV office as Newhall only goes up to Escondido on the 14. Cool pic.

That's MY mustang !
That is most likely officer Mike Reis 8867 my mustang was assigned to him in Antelope Valley area. Although other officers would and could drive the unit, wow.... good in service picture ! LOL Never heard that story from him. It is a hard driving fast car still ! I've had it at 115 on the Vegas speedway 15laps in 2014 ( Mustang 50th Anniv. ) and it drove fast and smooth. Great picture !!!! |
