1991 GSP Perm #1247

Well I've finally struck a deal on my dream 91 GSP. It was bought at auction in 97 and used a daily driver for 10 years, then placed in storage until last year. Then owner then had engine/trans rebuilt and he has only driven it a tick over 1000 miles since then. Other than the rebuilt original drivetrain and added gears in rear end it is all original. Still has roll bar also. I am in touch with the wife of the Trooper that drove this car and she is trying to locate some in service pics for me. It still has the 88-90 drivers seat that was swapped in while in service lol. He has taken very good care of it since purchasing it at auction and it shows. I am very excited about purchasing this one as it will be a great addition to my collection and puts me to only needing one last year for completing it. I should have it in my possession in less than a month.
P.S. I have traded my 1988 GSP 8301 for a 89 and have another 88 lined up to replace 8301 and Then my collection will then be complete... I will have one of every year the GSP purchased Mustangs. 83 ; 88; 89; 90; 91 & 92. |

Congrats Bobby! Looks amazing. Is the paint on this one savable or will you have to paint it?

Unfortunately it would never be NICE. But it will be the last in line for a repaint :-) it has has paint work before just not a all over . Holes were filled etc. I believe under & hood trunk area will not need anything more than cleaning up :-) |
VERY nice, Bobby!!!

I could only wish they were all in this condition to begin with lol. I'll post up more pics soon. I should have it home with in a month... It was a bit of a stretch for me, but I had to make a move on it as he was about to turn it into a quarter miler... At least now he can buy and build one the way he wants to and not feel guilty :-) |
